Sounds like ol’ Fred Thompson, hayna? Or no?
If Obama runs for reelection, he is too unpopular, he is toast no matter who runs against him.
If there is a contested Dem Primary, the blacks will resent that Obama is being challenged, and if he loses, they will probably stay home.
Even if Obama resigns, the blacks will assume that he is being forced out and will not vote.
I honestly don’t know who it would be right now. My first choice would probably be Brewer or Christie, FWIW.
I agree wholeheartedly and completely.
You mean those 2 LEGISLATORS?
Where’s their executive experience?
Legislating and leading are two different animals, folks.
And that’s not an insult.
We need to get back to the Constitutional balance in the Federal government in which the legislative has just about EQUAL powers to the executive branch.
Such that saying someone is IDEALLY suited for the legislative branch is not an insult.
Oh and would people like specifics?

I agree.
To me, strength equals integrity to conservative principles.
And I liked Duncan.
Today’s the 6-month anniversary PLUS the WH has made it clear they’re about to go on a new offensive to propagandize this horror of horrors - with your tax dollars, no less - and we need a counteroffensive.
Palin serves it up here.
Clearly, she is focused on who she needs to be focused on right now - and this is not to do with 2012.
Too much damage will be done by then if the fight is not fought now. Against the proper target. Which is not fellow Republicans ...
But she didn't say she wouldn't still run in that situation, just that she'd run if nobody else did.
Executive experience is important, but it is not the most important factor. If it was, Bill Clinton would be the ideal candidate and Obama would be favored over a number of GOP contenders. Huckabee is the current potential GOP candidate with the most executive experience. Does that mean that I should favor him over potential candidates who are far more consistent ideologically? I ran into this same argument in the run up to the 2008 GOP Primaries from the Romney supporters. (I supported Fred Thompson) Everything else being equal, I would give more weight to executive experience. For now, the ideological consistency of Pence and DeMint outweigh the advantage other candidates may have in executive experience.
We are preparing!
You betcha!
;-)
One thing you can say for sure is that Palin is completely vetted. We know the attacks on her and how she has fought on and become stronger. Just remember any other Republican is in waiting for the onslaught. The question remains how they will be able to take it. I’m loving Palin and her toughness and the fact they don’t know how to deal with her in their desperation. She’s at the top of my list and I hope she runs because she’s only gotten stronger.
I agree...
I also like DeMint. A DeMint/Palin | Palin/DeMint ticket would be great too...
I like Brewer/Christie....(I feel our bench is just deeper than theirs, and our starters are generally superior....FWIW)
I just don’t want to back one or two people yet. I want to see it play out, because there is enough time, it will indeed play out.
Besides, isn’t it more fun keeping the Libs guessing?
So you’re “concerned” is that it?
” “Well, I guess I could if nobody else wants to.”
The underlining message from Sarah was....Hey I’ve got solutions to the Challenges facing our nation.....and I’ll run if no one else has em!
I am concerned that I am afraid to speak my mind if I say I am concerned. Or not.
Woof.
(shakes head.)
