INCOLN, Del. Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell is making light of comments she made more than a decade ago when she was in high school about having dabbled in witchcraft.
"How many of you didn't hang out with questionable folks in high school?" she asked fellow Republicans at a GOP picnic in southern Delaware on Sunday.
"There's been no witchcraft since. If there was, Karl Rove would be a supporter now," O'Donnell jokingly assured the crowd.

Agree with that. Here is a much better one.
OMG! I never thought about this before. FreeRepublic has a Spell button.
I think we may be unknowingly dabbling in witchcraft every time we post. What does that Spell button really do Jim? We may be turning a Liberals into a frogs or something.
Someone needs to call Bill Maher, cause we may have a real scoop for him.
True, but ignorance is their problem... It either dissipates or it engulfs them...
I’ve asked this on another thread and didn’t get a constructive answer, but what was Christine doing 11 years ago that warranted appearance(s) on Bill Maher’s show?
I guarantee this would NOT be AP’s headline today had she attended Bob Sheiffer’s bushwacking.
And Hillary! channeled dead people for advice.
O’Donnell is responding to the public debate her way—without doing gotcha interviews concocted by the subversive media.
She’s right on message.
She’s a rock star. The Democrats and Republican establishment like Rove are just building her up with their attacks.
I hung out with questionable folks all through college and early adulthood.
They were Democrats.
This event was far more constructive than having that commie pinko Chris Wallace tell her how dumb she is and then letting Tokyo Rove pile on. Good for Christine to make smart moves.
When I was in High School, I had several friends who later in life. Became, 1. president of the bank, 2. High school Teachers 3. 2 became gay 4. 1 became a lezbeian 5. 1 partned with Bill Gates. 6. 2 went to prision 7. 1 became a preacher. Several house wifes, several regular Joes in the work field. 8. one porn star. 9. one movie star and so on and so on. A person should be able to grow in life, we all should be a little better than we were and have learned alot since we left school. If you have not changed then you have not done much in life. Rove needs to get his head out, or have a plex-ectomy! A plex-ectomy is where you have surgury to put a peice of plexyglass over your abdomen so you can see where your going with your head up your a$$.
Ronald Reagan used to do this and was very successful with it. Can anyone alive at the time recall Reagan taking on the 'age issue' (he was 73) during the first debate with Fritz Mondale in 1984? Reagan said: "I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponents youth and inexperience." Even Mondale laughed - along with most of America - and that was the end of 'the age issue'. In case anyone forgot, Reagan won a landslide victory in that election.
Christine O'Donnell is no Reagan but she sure knows how to handle smears and dopey criticisms in a way that totally dissolves any impact the 'issue' may have had. Well done, Christine!
Dave, do you remember the survey that said the candidate with the best hair and/or best smile wins....She is a winner!
Can’t wait till fishtalk gets home and tells us all about the picnic today!
Good political instincts by O’Donnell. Go ahead and marginalize Rove. Who will defend him now? Conservatives-not the real ones, and not the grass root conservatives, the Left defending Karl Rove-no only a few leftist pundits will do that. The fact remains that the “mushy middle” doe not have a real ideology and no real committed constituency. Would a moderate ever attend a rally? The only people to defend Rove are the Washington insiders and they are as revered as Goldman Sachs.
Rove is going to be lonely if he does not do a 180 real soon.
I wanted to be a cook in aboard a ship in the US Navy. US Navy had other ideas for me...
