Karl Rove, political mastermind for former President Bush, said Sunday that Christine O'Donnell, the Tea Party insurgent who won an upset victory in Delaware for the GOP Senate nomination, "can't simply ignore" the controversy stirred over the disclosure that she "dabbled in witchcraft" and has to find a way to "explain it and put it in its most sympathetic light and move on." "In southern Delaware, where there are a lot of church-going people, they're probably going to want to know what was that all about," Rove said on Fox News Sunday. "And again, she said it on television when she went on the ... the Bill Maher show." Rove was referring to an October 1999 appearance O'Donnell made on Maher's "Politically Incorrect" show where she said," I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven... One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it." O'Donnell had been on Maher's show frequently in the 1990s, and Maher has said he is going to show an O'Donnell clip each week until she agrees to appear again.

ABC and NBC Fail to Correct Obama’s ‘Seance’ Gaffe

Friday night stories on ABC’s World News and the NBC Nightly News ran a clip of President-elect Barack Obama’s gaffe at his press conference in which he related he had talked to all of the “living” former Presidents, as “I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about, you know, doing any seances.” But both newscasts failed to note it was Hillary Clinton, not Nancy Reagan, who reportedly had seances in the White House. ABC’s Jake Tapper called Obama’s comment “a lighter moment” while NBC’s Lee Cowan described it as “the only awkward moment of his first meeting with the press.”
FNC’s Jim Angle, however, managed to point out in his 6 PM EST story: “It was actually Hillary Clinton who was reported to have engaged in seance-like sessions in which she communed with the spirit of Eleanor Roosevelt.”
The AP also noted the error. “Obama slips in reference to seance by Nancy Reagan” announced the headline over a dispatch posted at 5:06 PM EST on Yahoo News. The AP’s Kevin Freking recalled:

Newsweek magazine, which was promoting the book, characterized the visits as “seances,” a term that White House officials quickly tried to squelch

I have never understood Rove’s reputation for being some sort of political genius. I have never been a fan of his and his BS of late only reinforces my dislike for him.

Besides that is not relevant, since you advocate the freedom of religion which includes Wicca which you support even in our military.....you creep. Dang, the guy won’t give it up. Has he noticed that her opponent was a marxist? Has he had one thing to say about that?
