The original ‘Gay Cabellero’ was a 1940 movie about the Cisco kid. Homosexuals adopted the term for themselves. Disney had nothing to do with it.

So it’s Mexico’s “independence day”. Is there a beer sale or is that just Cinco de Mayo?

Walt was doing his part for the war effort.

You could make the same argument that the US became independent from Britain in 1783 and not 1776.

There's a big difference. In 1776, an elected body representing the entire country approved a resolution declaring independence. In 1810, a priest in a small town gave a speech calling for independence. Mexico didn't actually declare independence until 1821.

Mexico’s “independence day” meant absolutely nothing to the masses....They were no better off under any of the future “governments” so there is absolutely no reason to celebrate anything. It is joke to act like they ever had “independence” like we did in this well thought-out and designed country. This is cultural Marxism trying to promote the lie that all cultures are “equal” and diminish our independence and the genius of our Founding Fathers.

Texas broke away from Mexico because of corruption.

Mexicans take their independence, and their “independence day” very seriously. It’s no joke to them.

Perhaps, but this small town priest's speech sparked a long and bloody uprising. Not all independence movements follow the US example.

I know they take it seriously, I was just wondering “Why?”. Are there legitimate reasons for celebrating or is it just mass indoctrination and brainwashing to placate the masses and take their mind off their real plight. (Machiavellian, I know).

Why are they celebrating such a backwater Hellhole as Mexico? Mexicans can’t wait to escape it.

Mexico's certainly did not. The Spaniards all but crushed the rebellion, but it sputtered on until the Spanish commander switched sides and became the emperor of Mexico.

BTW, do the French celebrate their great revolution? The Reign of Terror? Does it matter what the results of an “independence” movement is or do we ignore real history?

Well, Russia celebrates the Russian Revolution or does it anymore? Do they celebrate mass murderers like Stalin, or Mao? Well, I noticed some U.S. government people praise them to young, vulnerable children. Does it amount to brainwashing—conditioning?

Maybe, Disney should have the Mouse carrying a hammer and sickle, dancing and singing, on May Day. He needs to be inclusive of ALL cultures, doesn’t he?

OR, what about the idea of God’s Law and Nature’s Law and our ideas founded on Logic, Reason, and Science. Can we even decide good and evil today under our secular humanist moral relativist society or did Karl cut the legs off of our Founders?
