Hmmm: Castle took calls from Obama and Biden after losing
Hot Air ^ | SEPTEMBER 15, 2010 | ALLAHPUNDIT

The boss emeritus threw a jolt into the blogosphere by flagging this last night, and with good reason. Is America’s new most famous RINO about to go fully rogue and endorse Coons?

No. Or should I say, not yet?

Castle has spent the past 36 hours fielding phone calls and pats on the back from well-wishing colleagues and other politicians, including President Obama, Vice President Biden, House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) and dozens of others. He said that he was coming to grips with the reasons for his defeat – a conservative rebellion in the southern portion of the state that was given extra ammunition by Sarah Palin’s endorsement of O’Donnell. But he said that there probably wasn’t enough time in the next six weeks for him to get over some of the attacks lobbed in the contest.

I would not have been surprised if Castle "pulled a Specter".

Mister Castle chooses to whine and blame, but HE is RESPONSIBLE for his own voting record, and a REAL REPUBLICAN would have known this, n'est ce pas?

Please,please keep it up Mikey.
Show the whole world what an immature, dispicable narcissist you really are.
Keep exposing the entire Delaware political machine as the good old boys club it truly is.

If you are truly a descendant of Ben Franklin, the more SHAME on you.

“Conservatives in the southern part of the state”, my patootie. He didn’t win any of the districts in Sussex and Kent but he also lost most of New Castle, too. The map showing who won which districts was in the local paper the other day [I think they are hiding it now], but it showed Delaware solidly against him except for a few scattered regions north and west of Wilmington.

As for the Sarah Palin endorsement making a big difference? Naw. A robocall from her didn’t stir the masses, the base was PO’D with this guy long before she came on the scene. He just wouldn’t listen and represent.

Makes sense. And, I suggest Rove was in on the deal. He would have looked like the magnificent bastard winning the senate for the Republicans, until Castle jumps ship. Castle would hold the seat for Beau Biden.

WTH is Boehner doing calling him? RINO! I sure hope he doesn’t win the Speaker position.

Ya know, I think you’ve got it, Ollie.

Nice insight.

Love to see all those insane GOP attack dogs humbled.

Exactly!
Thats why Beau didn’t enter the race.
It would have been a contested race against Castle, but when Mikey retired it would have been a done deal.

Castle had a deal cut with the Democrats, they give him only token opposition with a weak candidate like Coons, and he switches parties once he gets in the Senate.

Do you have evidence of this (esp. the switching parties)? Or is it an educated guess? I admit it sounds more than plausible!

Yes, all of this smells of political shenanigans! Typical of both the Democrats and Republicans. They are attached by the hip regardless of their professed beliefs.

Sometimes I think that politics is just all about the good ole boys deciding who will benefit from this years election. Gone are the days of “good for the Country”. It has become a very selfish and narcissistic group of elitists that cares little what happens - as long as they get their part of the pie.

Yes, this is true of both parties! There are no “good” guys in this fight... only the people who seem to be finally waking up to this corrupt bargaining between the privileged elites...
