Outsiders like Barack Obama rarely master the art of writing Children's books, says Philip Womack.
Do you hear a loud thumping noise emanating from all over the country? It's the sound of thousands of children's authors – myself included – banging their heads on their desks in despair. Yes, another celebrity has "written" a children's book.
Who is it this time? Has Wayne Rooney penned a morality tale for the under-eights? Maybe Kerry Katona has chipped in with a multi-million-pound, nine-book series about a little girl whose nose falls off? No, it's the biggest celebrity of all, Barack Obama. Following in the footsteps of Theodore Roosevelt's Hero Tales from American History, and Jimmy Carter's The Little Baby Snoogle-Fleejer, the president has come up with Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters, a set of 13 "inspirational tales" of American pioneers.
Frankly, just the title makes me want to stick my fingers in my ears and scream. Even though it is taken from My Country, 'Tis of Thee, it reeks of patronising, pseudo-didactic, blood-freezing smarm. And that's not mentioning the subtitle – honestly, what children's book has a subtitle?

Between vacations and writing his book, it’s amazing Obama has still had time to still ruin America.
I won’t read his book but I can only assume that he writes as badly as he speaks.
“O” speaks in that patronizing, preachy, sing-song which the simple-minded and ill-educated invariably mistake for weight, authority and the intellectual command of the issues.
I don’t care who is speaking… when I hear that … they are tuned out. No one wants to be spoken to as if they are some kind of f8&^ing idiot!!!

Chapter 3: Rules for Radicals.
Chapter 4: Why it would be a good idea for all you kids to convert to Izlam and just get it over with already.
Chapter 5: Constitution/schmonstitution. Why the Rule of Law is an outdated concept and what I'm doing to change it.
Etc.
Believe me, “O” is feathering his nest! ($$$$$$$$$) It is called ‘making hay while the sun shines’.
He and his tuna want to leave office with their pockets stuffed.
You don’t understand, people - it’s a POPUP book - complete with its own teleprompter!
Want to check the prose for Ayerisms, as Jack Cashill did in checking the Ayerisms in “Dreams of My Father” to pretty much conclude Bill Ayers, child education expert, wrote that book and possibly this one
These books are just an indirect way to wash big money to the obamas via the big publishing houses ..... if michelle ain’t happy, ain’t no one happy

Ayers has already admitted to writing Obozo’s last books.
I guess someone will have to read it to see if it has Ayers’ style and Marxist ideology.
It's written for three year olds and is only 40 pages long. I doubt it has much "prose" in it.
I want to know who he's idolizing besides George Washington, Jackie Robinson and Georgia O'Keefe.
Remember, Bill Ayers is the “Mr Rogers” of the Weather Underground! Along with his amoral charming murderous wife Bernadine “Squeaky” Dohrn.
Mr Bill made his bones in Chicago politics as an “early education” advocate. Teach em to hate the pigs while they’re young, don’cha know.
