To: CDB
“Higher turnout” means people who AREN’T highly motivated are turning out.
That would be Castle voters.

Greetings Sir Napsalot...you’re not my cat are you?
sussex county here.
Right now...daring to be hopeful.
And it looks like Urquhart gonna pull it out!
That’s a major victory in itself...tell these other fine Freepers why THIS race is as important as the O’Donnell/Castle race.

michaelscherer RT @DESenate2010: The looks on people's faces at the Castle event aren't good. Everyone's sort of watching in a little disbelief.

Back in the day they used to talk about bellwether precincts or whatnot.

To: CDB
(From an undisclosed location, far away from Delaware). Im puzzled by this statement:
...Higher turnout should help Castle since ODonnells voters seem to be more strongly motivated.
Arent strongly motivated. voters more likely to vote, increasing voter turnout? Usually yes. But some feared that New Castle his base would be WHY it was heavy and thus alter the normal universal truth that heavy is good for a challenger.
