In August, liberal media watchdog group Media Matters for America generated a fair amount of publicity when it said it wanted to buy an ad on Fox News in response to News Corp.'s $1 million donation to the Republican Governors Association.
Fox News said it would air the ad, provided some minor tweaks were made and MMFA ponied up the dough. Well, Media Matters has made the tweaks and come up with the cash, so the ad will air on "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight:

dont think anyone has a larger audience do they? For sure not a larger ego.

I’d love to see Fox announce that all proceeds from the ad will be donated to Republicans...
To: Senator_Blutarski
that would be great. and if they would do an add showing what all the other networks gave to obama/clinton/kerry.

Largest on news cable. Everyone watching on Fox will laugh and not care. I think it will be played over and over on the other lib news nets as a news story. That way Media Doesn’t Matters gets it out there for free.

It actually comes off as a pro-Fox News ad to me. I know MM didnt mean it that way though... I agree with you. Looks pro-Fox from where I sit.

They sure told them! FWIW, the voiceover talent on the spot sounded effeminate.

That ad was really stupid in the way that you know had the white wine libs applauding and thinking Were so CLEVER! Take THAT FAUX!
One thing that cracks me up about left wingers is that they think they are so clever when they are really idiots. This whole "Faux News" jibe that they like to repeat over and over, then giggle, is a prime example. The word "faux" is not pronounced even close to the same as the word "fox", so the "clever" play on words totally fails, but rather than realize that and leave that lame attempt at wit behind, they hold onto it like its a Shakespearian gem.

Well, they gotta dumb it down for their constituents.

I had to check to see if this link was the real ad. That ad makes Fox News and Republicans look good. Free market etc...maybe not good to MSNBC viewers but Fox viewers they will like. Now we Fox can use the 1,000,000 to give another donation to those trying to save Free Markets from the Commies.

Wow. I agree. This really looks like a pro-Fox ad to me. Fox News doesn’t even need to explain the story behind it.
Fox news donated a million to help elect Republicans. Well, good for them! And keep that flag flying!

It’s funny you mention that because as I was typing that post I was thinking “Don’t these idiots realize you don’t pronounce that ‘fox’...?”
They think it’s just so coooool that they use a FRENCH word—shows how sophisticated they are—and yet the way they use it doesn’t even make sense in a joking way because it’s not a homonym for the one they’re mocking.

Yes, I noticed. I guess they didn’t want any of their constituents to feel threatened, like they’re getting yelled at or something.

Pretty lame ad if you ask me. LOL!
