Ok, so all the uproar over one man burning one Koran in one video...erstwhile, no violence threatened after hundreds of piss christs, burning bibles, etc. It’s good to see the anger of the “holy koran”...ye ha, just open the floodgates and let’s do sharia now!!! Don’t wait for the movie!

"The better way is to win the war ..."? WHAT WAR, Sienna? This whole charade in which you are participating is to pretend that this "war" is imaginary, that the burning of Korans is too uncivil for peace, and since we're not at war ...
In case you haven't been keeping up with current events, there hasn't been ONE IOTA of effort even to admit there is a war at hand, let alone win it.
But this "war" you speak of, which is an elephant in the room that our secular America cannot acknowledge, is the one that's been going on for 1,400 years: Islam against Judeo-Christian-based Western civilization. They say an alcoholic can't embark on his path to sobriety until he acknowledges the problem; well, America and the West can't embark on a path to victory in this "war" until they acknowledge that there IS a war and that, at its very foundation, it is a religious war.
And what you consider "handing the enemy propaganda tools like videos of these stupid antics," can just as accurately be regarded as symbolic morale boosters for Americans who seek to wage war on Sharia creep. The burning of Korans is civil in the utmost -- it is peaceful, it is legal, and it is such a powerful symbolic statement that an unknown pastor of a tiny church in Florida has captured the attention of not just a nation, but the world, by advocating it as a protest against Islam's creeping overtake of American freedom.
I will tell you that my morale is boosted when I see or read of Koran burnings on this day, Sept. 11, a MOST entirely appropriate day to voice outrage at Islam's attempt to creep into and strangle American freedom. My morale is boosted when I go onto the American Spectator website to read a piece echoing the standard line of both left and right, that "burning Korans isn't right," and in reading the hundreds of comments, see that a full 90 percent of readers think the way I do: that it's time to start using this powerful symbolism to let the bully Islam know, "Not on our watch."
Not because he burned the Koran, but because he showed the Muslims what a peaceful protest, in our United States, should look like.
He didn't spew hatred, he showed that Free Speech is not only if someone isn't insulted!
Bravo. Now for those that have loved ones serving in Afghanistan right now, I truly hope that they will be safe, but please remember that they are fighting for our Freedoms. We can not let another religion scare us into submission.

Everybody feels that they have to say something strong on this, whether pro or con.
Personally, here’s what I remember burning on 9/11 ... my friends and neighbors, by men with “Allah!” on their lips, and the Koran in their hands.
I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT.
First - very offensive and typical Democrat talking points in referring to our military men and women as “kids”.
They are not “kids”, they are well trained adults.
Second - Our military men and women are fighting for the right to do what this man peacefully did today - freedom of speech.
Third - the lives of our military are on the line because of a real tangible threat from militant Islam - yes we are in a WAR. The threat is there because of the mission of this enemy and not brought on by anything we do in the course of exercising our rights. Political correctness will not win their hearts nor deter them in their mission, it will however allow them to chip away at our liberty and freedom if we allow them to dictate what we can and cannot do.

The policemen’s obligation was not to take him away, but to stand there and protect his First Amendment rights as his justifiable burning continued.
