Those burned cars remind me of the area around the destroyed World Trade Center after it crumbled.

Yes...but some good news too....ALL the surgeons at the burn hospital showed up...they didn’t even have to be called..when they found out they went in and are all prepared for whom may come in...they expect more...the patients are stabilized at the local hopitals first and then sent to the burn center where these surgeons are waiting...samee with nurses...all are on deck.

Likely, a large gas pipeline exploded.

If earlier posts were correct, the site of the explosion was about 300 yards northeast of the San Andreas fault. While it’s unlikely a sudden shift of the earth caused this, the constant strain on the pipeline from a few thousand miniscule movements could very well have caused a break in the line.

I’ve been looking at the site in Google Earth, searching for an obvious route for a pipeline of that size. I don’t see anything that I can readily identify as a likely route. A pipeline of that size needs a fairly wide right-of-way so that maintenance crews can access it and so neighboring property owners are at minimal risk of damaging it.

Oh no. Oh no. Let’s keep the faith. You have to know that phones are not working in the fire areas. I have been faithfully praying for everyone.

I knew there would be deaths, and I prayed that those innocent people never knew what happened. That they went straight into the arms of our Lord, and they did.

The intersection also contained water lines too which were blown up when the gas line let go.. hence no water immediately available to fight the fires.

Take a look at this Google Maps street photo.

It's looking to the west at the intersection of Earl Ave and Glenview. The location is also at the bottom of a "dip" in the road, where witnesses have described a crater.

Anyway, look at those signs by the road. Is it just me, or are those the typical warning signs you see on top of a pipeline?

You can't zoom in far enough to read them. But, they look familiar.

Sadly, SmartMeters and renewable energy are more important to PG&E than pesky pipeline issues.

I thought maybe it could be a sudden shift in the earth that might cause the break...Wow that is pretty close to the San Andreas Fault...
