Their committing violence in response to this kind of proves his point, unfortunately. I guess freedom of speech and religion is for the Ground Zero Mosque crew, Jeremiah Wright, the Nation of Islam and Al Sharpton, not sad white guys with weird moustaches.

Burning a book doesn't make people violent, it exposes the violence that is already there.

When will Obama send his FBI thugs out to visit the Imam who wants to build a mosque at the 9-11 Site?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
How many FBI agents visited Imam Rauf, eh?

Gainesville police have assigned an officer to stay on church grounds for most of the day today. The officer is writing down the names of people entering church grounds along with license plate numbers. ... and if the police did that at a mosque...

After 9/11 and every terrorist attack since we are told that Islam is a religion of peace, a small percentage are radicals and we shouldnt judge a billion people by the actions of a few. Yet every free world leader and even folks like Hannity are crapping themselves over fears of Muslim reaction to a parish of less than 50 members, begging them not to do it. Where is the reciprocity? Why the chants of Death To America over the actions of a small group of people? How is it that entire nations go crazy over the actions of a few?
The hypocrisy is mind-boggling. It also makes that “Let Freedom Ring” theme song on Hannity’s show sound pretty hollow as he uses his program as a one-sided begathon for tolerance.

The intimidation tactics are just starting.

Rarely do we see the defense of Christianity on the level of this effort to intimidate free speech.

He should tell everyone that he is going to burn a US flag instead. And then cover a pile of Korans with it and some accelerants and burn away!

Burn, baby, burn!!!!!!!!!!
He is exactly proving their totalitarian violent stance against this country. They didn’t need an excuse or provocation. This provocation helps draw out and display what they’re really about.
Good for him. Let the matches be lit.
What’s sickening is the candy-assed response from our elected officials/government and many voices from pundits, religious leaders, the bureaucratic elite and even our military. They show fear and weakness to our enemy through their desire to squelch this man’s political speech in favor of the enemy.

CNN has an online poll asking if this pastor has a first amendment right to burn the quran, and 22% say no. So much for almost a quarter of Americans having even a basic grasp of the constitution. America is done and just waiting for someone to stick a fork is us. The liberals have undermined the nation too far to save it...they have successfully destroyed the nation.

What really is appalling is the great uproar from the leftist scum who has the audacity to defend burning the American flag and wanted every pic and detail of Abu Ghraib and are ok with leaks regarding national security. This needs to be just as much about THEM as this minister. The FBI visiting him was over the top, but what do you expect from these thugs who rule with hypocrisy.

Well done, its about time the FBI got off their butts and did some crime fighting.
Now let me see if I understand. It is perfectly legal to burn a Koran, if it's your Koran. I go to Borders and lay out $10.00 for a paperback edition of God speaking to Man, kill the unbelievers and you will inherit the world(ie. our stuff).
I take my purchase home and announce I am going to burn this baby in my Weber grill. The FBI arrives to talk to me.
Wow, talk about a Dhimmi county.

“The FBI spent about a half hour talking with Jones, but church spokesman Wayne Sapp would not disclose what they discussed. Agents leaving the church wouldn’t talk to an Associated Press reporter.
Jones said earlier this week that agents have visited him twice since he announced his plans in July, the last visit about two weeks ago.”
Hmmmmmmm.......
Does anyone know who was the first news organization or blog to give this story legs on a national scale? Does anyone else find it odd that this nobody preacher with 30 followers was suddenly thrust into the national spotlight right before the 911 anniversary and the November election?
Did the WH tip off the media to this story? Apparently the FBI knew about this book burning way back in July!! Something smells to high heaven with this whole thing.
