Hillary Rodham Clinton on Tuesday called a Florida church’s threat to burn copies of the Muslim holy book to mark the ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks a “disrespectful, disgraceful act.” (Sept. 7 Qur’an burning day to mark the 9/11 attacks says he is determined to go ahead in the face of fierce condemnation from the Obama administration.
I agree. Total nutjob.
Wanted his 15 minutes of fame and he found it.
Nothing at all constructive to be gained by this.
Efforts need to be spent on rooting out terror cells,
fighting efforts to implement Sharia, and stopping the mosque at Ground Zero. I’d even be for bombarding that mosque site with pork pieces, which at least would have the practical effect of making them go elsewhere. But burning Korans just makes all who oppose these things look like nutjobs. Besides, more people need to read that book to know what we’re up against.
Do you also think that Fred Phelps is a “brave man”?
Do you support his “Thank God for IEDs” signs at military funerals?
... all in the name of “Freedom of speech” and all...

Very few,in totality, of the posts that I read even mentioned Terry Jones, they were crying that it wouldupset and insult the muslims.
But then again, the New Black Panther Party opposes Terry Jones. At least you and them have common ground.
Just as an afterthought, Daniel Pearl learned the hard way that when it comes to infidels and Jews, muslims do not care if you wish to be their friend. Many others will, in the future, learn the same lesson.
Wars have many fronts. The war in the homeland is different from the war in foreign lands. They require different strategies and tactics.
This tactic can actually help us define the enemy here at home and make it much easier to identify and fight the insurgents here in the US.

The Muslims have been destroying Bibles. If Hillary has expressed outrage, I missed it. Seems to me she has even expressed more outrage over this church than over Muslims and Hindus killing Christians. Her her report to the UN about Arizona speaks for itself.

This book burning is nothing more than symbolism. Plus it has nearly knocked the Ground Zero Mosque out of the news.
Disgraceful, no. It's projection. Blame the victim for the onslaught of violence coming his way for freedoms we are constutionally still allowed.

My god that is so lame! They have guns, they have training, fire support and who knows what other assets at their disposal, and they are in danger?
The only danger they are in is taking orders to lay down their weapons by an illegitimate President that is a Muslim sympathizer.
They have supposed trusted Muslim allies but yet we hear almost daily reports of these Muslims going pit bull against Americans. Its a friggin war, Islam speaks no truth, the war won’t be won until either one side surrenders totally or has its fighting force reduced to the point of ineffectiveness.
Its being put off this confrontation of Islam vs. Christian America far too long, its going to happen and our troops know the risks, they are brave and its the way of life.
These attacks can and will come increasingly from inside our borders. It is better to smoke these insurgents out now rather than wait for them to get stronger, more numerous and better organized.
Burning the koran will bring voices out of the shadows and we need to know who those people are for our own safety. A short term risk can provide longer term safety and even peace.
As much as I don’t like Islam - and I mean the entire system of Islam. We should stop and think about this. Taking the advice of a well known and experience lady from the Middle East, Brigitte Gabriel, I am siding with her on this issue. No - we should not burn their so-called holy book - because that’s exactly what they want. They want us to become them - to act like them - and use the same childish tactics that make Islam so distasteful and unpredictable. Therefore, out actions should be just that predictable in the face of a system that is vying for control through any means necessary.
With that said, if we re-act or are proactive to the very incidents that make Islam so fearful – and that’s what they are – people are afraid of the irrational decisions that any of their religious or groups leader make – that most will decline any action that may upset them and result in a fatwa (death threat) placed on them. However, they can be countered effectively.
We protect our churches – that means in Africa – Iraq – Southeast Asia – we protect them with deadly force. Come into a Christian neighborhood seeking vengeance and it will result in your defeat. Yes, we as Christians need to defend what is ours and what we know is the truth. Should we seek them out – no. They will always come to us – they will bring their mentality and destruction with them. Never should we stand aside and allow them to molest, take, kill, enslave, seize, or control the things that we not only have the right to – but have earned.
Once they realize that Christians are more powerful than they are – that we have stopped taking their threats and encroachments – they will cease in their attacks. If they don’t, there will be none of them left to read a Koran or attend a mosque – therefore – we don’t need to burn it. It will only gather dust in their complete absence.
ABC News Reporter Terry Moran was interviewing this “pastor” (because apparently burning a Koran is national news, it happens so rarely), and one of his questions was something like “If Jesus was here today, would he support you burning this Holy Book?”
To which I wished I could ask Terry — “Did you ask the US Military that question when they burned Bibles?”

Somebody aught to just burn a Koran right now, and post a video, to show that it is no big deal.
Someone should announce they are going to burn a Torah, and see if it causes the same uproar.
And someone aught to have a burning of Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth”. No reason, just it deserves to be burned.
Someone should also point out that the Muslim terrorists burned Korans on 9/11 (because at least ONE person in that tower had to have a Koran with them).
It IS possible to oppose Jihad, without giving a platform to nutcases and head-jobs like Terry Jones.
I would be more inclined to support something less symbolic and more productive, like a Kill a Terrorist Day where we offer cash prizes to our military for taking them out.
And all who attend the burning should drink plenty of beer. :-)
