The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Thank you so much for posting all the wonderful pictures of our beloved President Bush and Laura! You made my day special and will share the link to this thread for others!
Great, glad to hear the schools in Mattapan are making progress.
Thanks for sharing your info about the town you grew up in.
You’re very welcome Jewels. No doubt the Bushes continue to work on their projects and causes without the need for media attention.
You’re very welcome jtill, appreciate your kind words.
You’re very welcome. That’s what the thread is for - to show the good, positive things President and Laura Bush have done.
Yes, please share the link to this thread for the other Freepers and spread the word! :)

Watching the Texas Rangers game.
I cant post this photo since it has a watermark, so click on the link to the pic of President Bush wearing his glasses while watching the game.
Heres a never before seen recent pic of GWB wearing a Sigma Alpha Epsilon hat. This was posted on the blog site called Total Frat Move on Friday.
great photos as always, thanks for posting them and thanks for the ping
First pix of him with a bit of a ‘pouch’ was a surprise as he always seems so fit. Must be the shirt, huh? Still looks MARVELOUS and so does Laura.
Well, based on some recent pics I’ve seen of Pres. Bush, he’s had that pouch for quite some time, after all he is 66 years old!
Dark colored shirts are best suited to make his waistline appear slim. Light colored ones, not so much.

Loved them all-thanks-and love them, too. No words can express what I felt for President Bush’s leadership. Can’t even think of this good man without thinking about his open and shared love for God and his acute tenderness for those who needed his notice, a hug, a smile, a wink, etc. Miss his humor and his ability to rise above the nastiness, his imperfections that were so often somehow perfect ( like his word arrangements that sometimes needed to be added to Websters imo) and his deep respect for our highest office. God Bless this man and his family and tremendous staff.
President Bush was riding his bike at River Legacy Parks in Arlington, TX earlier this month.
GW and Laura arrive to enjoy another Texas Rangers game on Friday, August 10th.
Aww, that cute wink again!
GWB and many of his family members are in Kennebunkport this week enjoying their annual vacation there. Pres. Bush played golf at the Cape Arundel Golf Club on Tuesday, August 14th.

Mark McKinnon posted these cool pics of the Bushes in Kennebunkport on his Twitter page on Thursday.

((Ping!))
Lovely setting, beautiful pictures. Thanks very much, pattyvita! Everyone looking healthy and happy. Very cute wink!
pattyvita, God Bless you for your continued devotion to this awesome, ongoing thread of photographs of our beloved President Bush and his family. Their selfless service to others, with great humility, continues non-stop. Truly a remarkable man, very sorely missed.
I noticed that too .. but I think he’s had to give up the mountain biking .. so perhaps he’s no longer able to exercise as hard as he was used to.
However, he could invest in some home equipment (if he hasn’t already done that).
Also, they just got home from a long trip and vacation .. who wants to diet on vacation ..????
You’re very welcome onyx.
Pres. Bush’s wink never gets old, makes him more charming!
Thanks GoldwaterChick. I’ve stuck by President Bush for 10+ years through the good and bad times.
Even when he made questionable decisions that I had issues with, I never, ever gave up my unwavering support for him.
There were plenty of people who supported GWB in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks but eventually got disgusted with him especially towards the end of his 2nd term. Those were “bandwagon fans,” not true supporters who abandoned him when things got tough.
I’ve made a commitment to keep this thread alive with more photos and stories of our President and his family for anyone who wants to seek some solace from the nastiness that’s been going on FR these days.
Mega Dittos!
pattyvita, the photo of GWB that shows the depth of his soul, his compassion, love and caring to me is the one of him hugging closely the little girl who lost her mother on 9/11. The sadness and pain in his eyes over her loss, knowing she had lost her mother forever, the despair he felt for all the victims and their loved ones, is all there. He has a big heart and a beautiful soul and is a decent man. One of the great differences is that he really cares, it’s not just a lot of talk.
I agree that it’s getting more and more difficult to wade thru the nastiness on here; the personal insults, attacks and anger are appearing in more and more threads. The way our country is going it’s quite possible that free expression will also be a thing of the past before long. It’s hard to believe that some of these people are really adults! I do wish they would grow up!
