The Las Vegas Review-Journal’s copyright infringement lawsuit partner on Friday sued U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle over R-J material posted on her website, allegedly without authorization.

The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas by Righthaven LLC, seeks damages of $150,000 against Angle personally and forfeiture of her website domain name sharronangle.com.

Reid is ahead 50 to 47 in latest Rasmussen poll.

Incorrect, Rasmussen's poll from yesterday has it tied at 45% each.

This one ain't over yet.

But I'm sure those RINO committee chairs would want to reach out to their "friends across the aisle," now wouldn't they???

“Yes, we would be better off with RINO’s than democrat senators. Why? Because you have to understand how the senate works. If 51 senators have “R” behind their name, then every committee chair is Republican. It is they who can push or hold up legislation. I will take 51 republicans including Rino’s anytime over 51 democrat senators. “

This needs to be pointed out time and time again. Some people just don’t get this concept. If the Senate majority is GOP, the dim agenda will never even make it to the floor for a vote. 51 R Sens (incl. Maine sisters, Grahmnesty, Juan Mac, Scott Brown) means 0’s agenda is over. Period.

No we would not be better with RINOs than Democrats - because these same Republican leaders are the ones that pretty much primed the pumps for the current Dems to empty America’s future. We need to get our house in order, elect consistent conservatives and counter the indoctrination.

You are foolish if you think the majority of those GOP’ers who will take over those committee chairs will snap out of their beltway brainwashing. They’ll just go about business as usual, give lip service and hope the electorate calms down by the next election.

If we do not get the GOP steered correctly and they DO take power and screw it up by doing nothing (as they surely will) than that does it for conservatism for at least a generation.

For all the talk of failure - Obama has been a VERY successful president in getting almost everything he wanted accomplished in two years. Sure it will likely cost him his Congressional lapdog and reelection, but he has changed the game.

We need our own game-changers and Castle, McConnell, Alexander, Ensign and Cornyn, etc. are status quo candidates.

Little-known fact:

More people have gotten hit with R-J copyright infringement lawsuits than used to get AOL sign-up CD-ROM disks in the 1990s.

Did I miss something. I thought the election was in November.

What you have done is what I call the “safety of the negative”. You look back and say what we should have done, you look to the present and say the situation is hopeless, and you predict a dismal future.

If you are right about the future you say, “I told you so.”
If you are wrong, you say, “I was wrong, isn’t that great?”

I think it is best just to ignore you.

One of my angles on this is that by attempting to take everyones domain names then the R-J is trying to get a monopoly on the news. There should be something illegal about that in itself. They are not content in claiming financial damages(Which are a crock). And they are not just trying to put these other sites out of business due to financial ruin. No they have showed there hand in wanting to take over those websites, and spew there own bias on them.

Not a big fan of Ron Paul fans but...

"Bloggers already know of the association between Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Steve Gibson. The latter's Righthaven firm has launched a legal war on websites over alleged copyright infringement.

All three worked for Chicago Law firm Sidley Austin LLP, where Gibson and Michelle Obama coincidentally specialized in copyright-related "intellectual property" law for the firm.

I've just uncovered a further Obama link to this new copyright war."

Lowden was a moderate at best... the candidate who should have won was Tarkanian..JMHO.... but that is water under the bridge, we need to pull Angle over the line now.

What makes Righthaven so newsworthy is that it’s using the federal court system to earn revenue through judgments and settlements with its no-warning lawsuits. That is its business model. When this business model involves suing R-J sources, nonpartisan nonprofits trying to do good in the world and bloggers like the noteworthy “cat lady” in Boston, it’s even more newsworthy.
