WASHINGTON – The number of illegal immigrants living in the U.S. has dropped for the first time in two decades — decreasing by 8 percent as the sour economy dried up jobs and increased enforcement made it harder to sneak across the border with Mexico, a new study finds.

Much of the decline comes from a sharp drop-off in illegal immigrants from the Caribbean, Central America and South America attempting to cross the southern border of the U.S., according to the Pew Hispanic Center, which based its report on an analysis of 2009 census data.

The findings come amid bitter debate over Arizona's strict new immigration law, which was passed earlier this year but is on hold for now as it is challenged in federal court. The Obama administration contends the state law usurps federal authority and promotes racial profiling, while Arizona leaders say states are justified to step in if federal enforcement falls substantially short.

You know, the real answer to your question is that it isn’t drugs at all. The liberals, now our dysfunctional government unfortunately, don’t see the illegal mules as ‘drug carriers’; they see them as voter registration cards and another vote for Democrats...it’s rather simple when one finally disconnects their logical thought/rationale process from complicated, rational reasoning to that most basic of human, primal urges. These people are evil.

Funny you should ask. GAFFER is a set electrician and can also mean "Old Fart".....I have been an electrician in my earlier years, and with time, comes the old fart part.

I spent some time in England - I think I remember hearing it there - but not too sure because of memory.

You know, I try to look on the bright side of things when I can. When it comes to getting old and the eventual memory loss that comes with it, there is a silver lining. At some point, my DVD/BRD collection is gonna become brand new, again......
