If Coleman were a conservative he would have won. Any Republican Senator voting against drilling in Alaska should lose.

God bless Mike Pence for coming through! I'm sure once he heard that Cornyn and the NRSC got involved he knew that shenanigans were in play. Conservative Republicans backing conservative Republicans pleases me to no end, particularly when the incumbent rino’s set out to protect and fight sleazy for their own.

I presume those absentee ballots were cast before the very end of the campaign, so I hope Miller’s lead holds out.

A 1,000 vote lead in Alaska is considerable.
Joe Miller still leads by 1,294 votes.

“Narrowing” is the word. I have little doubt that the “narrowing” will shortly remove Mr. Miller from the nomination for which he worked so hard. People in AK really do like government programs, as Ted Stevens fully understood.

I write off most of the “immaturity” as people venting. Clearly, some threads have gone over the edge with little analysis to balance. Some of the threads reporting on the mention of Arizona to the U.N. Human Rights commission would lead you to believe that a contingent of blue helmet troops were on the way.
However, a lot of people are at their wits ends and want to “shout at the TV”! It’s either that or cry.

What area were the votes from. Not 100% sure, but they started counting the votes around Juneau at 1 PM Alaska Time and were supposed to start in Anchorage, then do the Mat-su valley, Juneau (1 PM) and Fairbanks (3 PM).
The Juneau count will include House Districts in S.E. Alaska Kodiak and the Kenai Peninsula. If it's Juneau that's begun to report, that's not a bad result at all.
