Thats my immediate reaction to this.
Key White House allies are dramatically shifting their attempts to defend health care legislation, abandoning claims that it will reduce costs and deficit, and instead stressing a promise to improve it.
The messaging shift was circulated this afternoon on a conference call and PowerPoint presentation organized by FamiliesUSA one of the central groups in the push for the initial legislation The confidential presentation, available in full here and provided to POLITICO by a source on the call, suggests that Democrats are acknowledging the failure of their predictions that the health care legislation would grow more popular after its passage, as its benefits became clear and rhetoric cooled. Instead, the presentation is designed to win over a skeptical public, and to defend the legislation and in particular the individual mandate from a push for repeal.
Very different from the old days, isnt it?
If Republicans want to campaign against what weve done that is a fight I want to have. Barack Obama on health care, Jan. 14.
I don’t think that’s the only thing they’re beginning to panic over...
The incompetence of this administration guarentees that PANIC is the basic and usual state in the WH.
FamiliesUSA - typical lefty mouthpiece organization (or so-called organization). Use two heart-wrenching words together to imply it’s grass-roots, etc.
They refuse to disclose their funding (Pelosi call your office!): http://www.wellsphere.com/general-medicine-article/families-usa-refuses-to-disclose-funding/460227
They can run but they can’t hide. All non-profits must still file tax returns and - SHOCK! - FamiliesUSA is affiliated with SEIU!
so the solution is not to scrap the hideously flawed legislation, but to augment it? *headscratch*
People see what a huge mistake they made in November ‘08.
The liberals see that the people are no longer blinded by the MSM and the flowery rhetoric of the promised one.
The liberals see the polls plummeting in all categories except their core demographic.
They know November 2010 will be a political massacre of historical proportions.
Yes. They are in P A N I C........................................
Conservatives have been awake since before the election on the lies of Obama but is the rest of America catching onto this guy? I would assume but after electing this guy, I am not as confident in the American people this day in age.
This simple fact the WH had to issue a statement on this is the single greatest indicator of panic I've seen in a long time.
Looking at the slides:
.
“Dont say it will reduce costs and the deficit”
.
“Remind voters that Congress will be under the same plan!”
Sadly the Dems control all of TV and TV supports Obama. They can manipulate the idiots who watch TV. Keep watching as it supports the regime. The NFL, NBA, MBL, NCAA and ESPN are drooling Obama fans.
I cancelled TV a year ago cause the endless fawning and full time propaganda, plus they elected him, was too mueh.
and for all of their fawning propaganda, he’s still a failure......And the people know it........
“Jig”?
THAT’S RACIST!
That is why we need the Hero Of Massachusetts Romneycare as our next President!
heh, heh, heh....oh yeah. YOU'LL get that fight, buddy! We'll definitely bring that one on! You inexperienced, little community-agitator-minded twit!
I watch very little TV. For entertainment, I will buy classic shows and movies on DVD or netflix them. Recently I netflixed Tales Of The Gold Monkey. I had forgotten how much I liked it.
Sports channels for me might as well be dead air. Religion isn’t the opiate of the masses but sports are in this society. It amazes me how many people can practically worship a ball or a car going round and round. It is fine with me to watch and enjoy sports but not be to be an addict or wacko.
Yup. Sports is the opiate. I cancelled TV but a relative had the ball game on during Thanksgiving. They had NFL commercials fawning over Obama - it was sick. In between the endless TV commercials of “dumb” white guys. TV is evil at this point. They support the Imam and Victory Mosque 100% including Fox Saudia.
