WND drops Ann Coulter from Miami event over Homoconflict
World Net Daily ^ | 8/17/2010 | wnd

Conservative superstar Ann Coulter today was dropped as a keynote speaker for WND's "Taking America Back National Conference" next month because of her plan to address an event titled "HOMOCON" sponsored by the homosexual Republican group GOProud that promotes same-sex marriage and military service for open homosexuals.

Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, said the decision was a gut-wrenching one for his team because of their fondness for Coulter as both a person and writer-speaker.

"Ultimately, as a matter of principle, it would not make sense for us to have Ann speak to a conference about 'taking America back' when she clearly does not recognize that the ideals to be espoused there simply do not include the radical and very 'unconservative' agenda represented by GOProud," said Farah. "The drift of theconservative movement to a brand of materialistic libertarianism is one of the main reasons we planned this conference from the beginning."

Asked by Farah why she was speaking to GOProud, Coulter said: "They hired me to give a speech, so I'm giving a speech. I do it all the time."

The government is devouring our liberties, draining our nation’s wealth, preventing prosperity and holding political correctness in higher priority than our security...but that’s NOTHING compared to what’s going on between consenting adults in their bedrooms!

Get informed. HOMOSEXUAL ACTIVISM AND ITS AGENDA IS DEVOURING OUR LIBERTY. If gay marriage becomes a reality, homosexuality will be forced upon kids against the wishes of their parents as it being done in Massachusetts. Photographers will be fined for not wanting to shoot pictures at gay weddings, which is already happening in New Mexico. College students are being dismissed from psychology programs for not agreeing homosexuality is fine and dandy.

Homofascism is one of the greatest threat to liberty. Get your head of your behind.

I believe they would wait to see what Ann actually said to GOProud at Homocon.

I believe any “normal” person would have the good sense to do the same.

What happens between consenting adults in privacy is not the problem.

The problem is that those consenting adults want the law to bestow special privileges upon them for engaging in that behavior. It’s no longer a matter of privacy; the activists don’t want privacy. They want the law to honor their behavior with the legal term of “marriage” and to teach schoolchildren to accept it, too, even though the behavior itself is harmful.

Glad to see more conservatives dropping the anti-gay thing. It’s a pointless non-issue and there are way bigger fish to fry.

You means activists judges forcing their definition of marriage and overturning the will of the people isn't a major concern? If you believe that, you're utterly worthless to the conservative movement.

It's pretty damn big deal if one is a parent and a school is forcing homosexuality upon your kid without your consent.

It's pretty big deal if one is a college student being pressured to renounce your religious beliefs about homosexuality to remain in a psychology program you have worked hard to advance.

Wake up and stop claiming the homosexual agenda isn't a major threat liberty in the country.

I’ll let Ann book her own life. How this impacts anybody is beyond me. Her speaking no more endorses homosexuality than Jesus speaking to drunks, adulterers and sinners made him less righteous(not that I am comparing the two). It just doesn’t seem important.

>>Moral conservatism cannot be stuffed in its own little box, to be taken or left.<<

I daresay it can. Some of us care about job-killing economic policies, the government takeover of healthcare, and the sheer unsustainability of entitlement programs without giving a rat’s arse whether a couple guys are allowed to prance down the aisle and declare themselves husband and husband.

“Homofascism is one of the greatest threat to liberty.”

I believe the Nazis and the radical Muslims expressed the same thought and dispatched the buggers to some kind of death rehab camp.

Are you from that Kansas church that protests at serviceman/women funerals?

That's why you should always do a search using a significant word from the title. Not just the title itself.

Sad news indeed.

When Ann went through the wringer at a Canadian University and had to cancel her address about a year ago, no one was more contemptuous than myself of the little squits of students. There was a lot of fun with a picture of an activist female with a mouth as wide as a barn door, screaming blue murder, this on FR.

I sure like Joe. Bill Cunningham was brave enough to have Joe on his Sunday night radio show which starts at 10pm Eastern. Joe got right into it and began to show plainly the problem of an incredible lack of background regarding the President. It was not just the lack of a long form birth certificate that he spoke on.

Ann says just because she addresses a group, does not mean she supports them. She has her reasons I suppose. Myself, seeing the absolute determination of some homosexuals to bore into the soul of society, I still wince.

One does not have to be obtuse or plain nasty to the homosexual, of course not. Only support them living their OWN lives, and be wary for one's own cultural well being.

Perhaps a master diplomat will come forward and mend fences here. Conservatives cannot and must not destroy each other, at this stage of a struggle for the very soul of America.

She can accept money and speak to whom she wants. Just be aware of the outcome. Actions have consequences.

Ann Coulter Applauded by Young Conservatives for 'HomoCon' Speech

."This is how institutions evolve and emerge within a conservative culture," says Jon Henke, a libertarian-leaning blogger. "In time, gay people will be married, extending the valuable social institution of marriage to more people. In time, conservatives will argue that the positive impact that marriage has on the gay community is further evidence of the importance of the institution of marriage."

Change has come gradually, and it's worth noting that Coulter's decision to speak at HomoCon is merely the latest example of prominent conservatives (of all ages) lending, at least, tacit support to the cause of gay rights.

Sort of like the regents at the Canadian University who knew what she was going to say, before she said it?

Excuse me? FR does not support the homosexual agenda. We fight it.

It's about MUCH more than that. But let's start here.

Ann Colter, a “looker”? LMFAO! She’s many things, but “looker’ isn’t one. She looks (and acts) like John Stossel in drag. Being with her would be like sleeping with a duffel bag full of broomsticks - plus she’s never shut up. No thanks.

In the beginning of our country, every state had laws against sodomy. In Virginia the penalty was death. Jefferson tried to change it to castration but it didn't pass. Washington had them thrown out of his army.

FR and most conservatives do not support the homosexual agenda.
