Your arguments are pure strawman... no one here is saying to make our attacks all personal... but personal attacks have a time and place to be used in the coming election.

If you think that the Willie Horton ad was a personal attack, you are wrong. It was an attack on Dukakisis’ record.
Attack the person’s record.
Make Obama respond to 9/11 victim families who are opposed to the WTC mosque. Make him respond to the unemployed, the people who cannot afford his personal mandate, etc.
But don’t get personal. I think that is what Pense is saying (at least what I am saying).

There are plenty of straw men on this thread.
Pence says, “No Personal Attacks” and people automatically assume that mean “No Negative Ads” and not making the dems accountable.
Those are different things.

If they do as you wish them to do... our Nation is finished and as Franklin warned, “A republic... if you can keep it”. We obviously will not be able to keep it if we play by “Marquess of Queensberry” rules.

DuCaCa was asked if his wife were raped would he still be against the death penalty... he answered without emotion “Yes, I would”. He lost... that is personal. FAT ASSED teddy kennedy would have never been able to push communism into our government if republican Senators had stood in the well of the Senate and called him a fornicating murderer.

Pence (and perhaps you) are buying into the MSM indoctrination that any critique of a democrat is "personal", and nothing can be said about a conservative is bad enough. Otherwise please explain what you think a "personal" attack is
It seems Pence has bought the mealy mouthed worst idea of Bush called "the new tone"
That's how I read it.

FAT ASSED teddy kennedy would have never been able to push communism into our government if republican Senators had stood in the well of the Senate and called him a fornicating murderer. Yeah, that will win a lot of elections. (rolling eyes)
I thought we were having a serious discussion.
Guess not.

Wrong.
Most voters are idiots. Really. They vote based on feelings rather than logic. They do NO background research on candidates or platforms.
Democrats DEPEND on this and work at manipulating the feelings of the mushy middle. “Its for the Children, for Less Fortunate,...”
And, in case you haven’t noticed, it works.
Pubbies need learn to manipulate the feelings the “mushy middle” just like the Democrats do. If personal attacks against Obama and Democrats work, then, by all means ATTACK!

Look at today's post on Rasmussen Reports and see that Friday he was at -21, yesterday he was at -19 and today he is at -17. He is gaining support. Gallup Daily: Obama Job Approval Hits New Low - 41% Approve; 52% Disapprove

I probably will, I have no illusions that our parties leaders will grow a pair once January rolls around.
What I do know is this - we are sending to DC people who can light a fire under their asses. Allen West as example. We’ve had enough “wins” to send a clear message to our party.
That does not mean we can be complacent. We will have to kick them in the ass, multiple times a day if needed.
From the new blood coming into the party, an active and engaged electorate who will demand they fulfill a mandate to REPEAL REPEAL REPEAL and fix the mess, may we have a chance.

which demolishes your assertion. Too funny!

The Willie Horton ad was not a personal attack. From Wiki:A Wikipedia opinion piece. How unsurprising.
The ad not only targeted the positions taken by Dukakis, it (deservedly) went after his actions:
MALE NARRATOR: Dukakis not only opposes the death penalty, he allowed first degree murderers to have weekend passes from prison. One was Willie Horton who murdered a boy in a robbery, stabbing him 19 times.

I referenced Rasmussen and not gallup... you are not reading or comprehending any of our posts, as you have accused me of doing. Here is a personal remark... I think you are a dim plant and you are not very good at it.
