Obama is all about “freedom of religion” unless it’s Christians. Franklin Graham disinvited from praying at the Pentagon but there’s a mosque there for muzzies.

On the radio a few minutes ago Beck said “To hell with you Kennedy Center, I paid for the space, we are praying there” (or very close to that, don’t have exact wording).

Bout time someone takes a stand.

Pray out in public even if it means they haul you away to jail! Daniel prayed 3 times a day after the leaders instituted a ban on prayer and they threw him into the Lion’s den...We’ve got to stop caring about what men may do to us and instead stand up for our faith in the one true God and His son, Jesus Christ! The name of Jesus is the single most powerful weapon as a Christian we can utter! EVERY knee shall bow before the name of Jesus Christ...

Bout time someone takes a stand.

That's the part I don't get.  Why wait for someone else to take a stand?

If it was his intent from the beginning to hold prayer from the podium, then he should do it and challenge them to arrest him. If arrest seems likely, he could wait until the end of the program, but make them arrest him.

If he could get about 30 or 40 people on stage praying, make them arrest all of them. If the crowd joins in, are they going to arrest 1.5 million people?

Not likely. Someone will blink. Make sure its them and not us.

Well I don’t have any problem praying or singing the National Anthem (well except I suck at singing so would probably get boo’d and begged to stop) anywhere near me.

If by any chance I made it over to DC singing the National Anthem on the Lincoln Memorial is definitely at the top of my list. Next is praying at the Kennedy Center. And anywhere else they tell me not to.

But I am nobody. Beck is somebody.

Bureaucrats lead the pack in following the "Law of the most easily Offended" (as modified to appease "power blocks"). It is when these "Civil Servants" get caught up by those who refuse to make their life easier that we get these occasional breaks in the heavy weather of the current secular left that now rules our cultural elites.

Of course it is an unwritten policy to forbid prayer in the Kennedy Center, said policy is only there to make management's life easier with their fellow nobs in the Georgetown cocktail circuit. Now they can say that it was that uncouth Beck fellow that forced this upon them and thus they can gain the horrified sympathy of their fellow elitists, UGH and ICK!

You are a nobody because you've convinced yourself you are a nobody. I don't believe I am a nobody.

My point is, don't wait for the next person to do something for you, just DO IT!  Wringing hands is not going to defeat liberalism.

What would Obama have to say about the Kennedy Center’s religious intolerance?

This is nearly exactly the tactic Charleton Heston described as the best way to fight the oppressors. He said when you hear these outrages against for example, a young school child being expelled for a butter knife, or a midol, that angry parents should sit down and block the front doors, and be HAPPY to be arrested. I’ll try to find it somewhere, but he describes how the system is terrified of the publicity that comes from repeated arrests and court arguments.

Well, he’ll have to have someone sneeze, then say to them “God Bless You”. Or he can just start praying, what will they do, arrest him? Maybe they will.....

Agreed. My brother and I will be there and you can best believe we'll say a prayer for our country.
