Friday August 13, 2010First Rush, then Coulter, and Now Glenn Beck ... Whats Happening?
Commentary by John-Henry Westen OReilly asked Beck, Do you believe that gay marriage is a threat to the country in any way? Beck replied, No, I don't, adding sarcastically, Will the gays come and get us? The Glenn Beck revelation comes on the heels of two other startling announcements by conservative celebrity pundits in the last couple of weeks. Earlier this week it was announced that conservative pundit Ann Coulter would headline a fundraiser for the homosexual activist group within the Republican Party, GOProud. And on July 29, although his position had been revealed before, talk radio host Rush Limbaugh again came out in favor of homosexual civil unions, while being opposed to same-sex marriage. To be fair, it must be pointed out that Beck said he was looking at the big picture and promoting faith, the answer to all such things. Moreover, he added that he was okay with gay marriage with a caveat. As long as we are not going down the road of Canada, where it now is a problem for churches to have free speech. If they can still say, hey, we oppose it, he said. But even to have suggested, as strongly as he did, that he was not opposed to gay marriage is detrimental and demonstrates a small picture approach. Beck seems like a good guy. Hes thoughtful. Hes right on many matters in the culture war. For instance, when OReilly followed up and asked if Beck thought abortion threatened the United States, Beck replied dramatically in the affirmative. Abortion is killing, its killing, youre killing someone, he said. So I thought itd be worth it to calmly and persuasively share concerns with Beck on his approach. He may not read my email, but Im sure if enough pro-family folks were to get the message to him, hed reconsider his outlook.

Do you agree with my post? I think you do.
Christianity does not follow big government. It follows the teaching and eternity given to gentiles. The bastardization of the Church does not remove ones responsibility to the guidance and teaching from the Lord.
DJ..you can always be counted on to remember a crucial fact like this. Can you possibly cite the source as well? I'd like to read it then email it to Beck. Thanks FRiend!
Your post 65 was sort of beating around the bush.
If you are a libertarian, and the comment sort of seems like that, I do not agree. For instance, I think laws against sodomy are perfectly Constitutional and should never have been struck down by black robed idiots on the SCOTUS.
If you would be more clear in delineating your POV I could know whether I agreed with you or not.

Laws agasinst sodomy and non-legal promotion of homosexual behavior is not just “Christian”, it’s Natural Law and part of the moral absolutes which are essentially the same in every religion, and are the very foundation of what makes human civilization human and civilized.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with sectarianism.
A Bugzapper thread?
Be still, my heart!!!
I just found the info in a search. I’ll go find it again.
"Your denying gays rights divides them and demans them and alienates them from Christ".
No, their sin alienates them from Christ, just as does the sin of anyone else.
Problems only increase when gov't legalizes matters that conflict with God's precepts.
Under those circumstances, the time will come when government's legalization of sin will make living according to God's precepts against government's laws.
I’m not a sectarian, I am a believer that the New Testament was for me. I will take it to my next place.
Whosoever shall be guilty of Rape, Polygamy, or Sodomy with man or woman shall be punished, if a man, by castration, if a woman, by cutting thro' the cartilage of her nose a hole of one half inch diameter at the least.
Apparently Virginia kept the death penalty.
Maybe it would be better stated as: If we “return to chritian roots” before limiting government both will fail.
Yeah, so be it.
Oh, and that was pretty funny about the FR site owner kicking off Coulter, Beck, and Rush.
Ha,ha.
You are correct, but it pointless to argue if we have Christian roots in our nation, because we do. If you wanted to get even more argument, you could point out that we have Protestant roots to our Christian roots.
The point to me is to limit government, not Christianity, or even homosexuality.
Nothing good is possible without limited government.
That made me laugh out loud.
I worked at Warner Bros. for 2 years, and we all know that industry is a magnet for homos.
I can tell you the following..
1) Homosexuals spend an inordinate amount of their time attempting to “recruit” others to their lifestyle, and I am certain that includes underage kids.
2) Homosexuals do not think about everyday things like the rest of us do, and they usually are colored in some way through the prism of homosexuality.
3) Most of them are leftists, and have no use for religion, morals or ehics. Their idea of a fun society is more conducive to Sodom & Gommorah than Judeo-Christian America.
4) Most of them tend to be very aggressive if they set their eyes on a target. I ran into one at WB who I had to punch in the face, after repeated warnings from me to knock off the talk.
If homos are allowed an equal footing with the other 98% of us, I can guarantee you our society will crumble. My 2 cents.
Well, I’m not smart enough to tackle that but I do realize that PC from the government level is the way to curtail our founding. I was raised old school and you had better fight for your standing. Now I’m fighting for my founding.
They're called chicken hawks by their "own".
