The left wants it. That’s why Bloomberg is gushing about the mosque. (I know he’s theoretically a Republican, but he’s the most left-wing nanny-state GOPer around, and in any case he only changed from Dem to GOP because he knew that no Dem could win that year.)

Yes, the Left wants this as they are aligned with Islam through their own stupidity. You should check out DU. They're celebrating his 'courage' while acknowledging 70% of Americans don't want the mosque at Ground Zero. They truly believe they are the uber-intelligentsia and will tell the rest of us 'commoners' what to do. They got a big thing coming...
Oh yes. Forgot to mention, this statement of 0’s allows him to appease the angry Left while ignoring DADT, single-payer, etc. He’s their hero again without barely lifting a finger. Words and all, are the Left’s balm, not actions.
When I heard that he declared this with his typical "Let me be clear" line I was stumped as well.
This will go over well with the hardcore "progressives". That's about it though. Gotta say, politically, just plain stupid on the part of the 0bama regime.
This will completely piss off any remaining independents who still haven't completely seen the light. I suspect that a lot of Middle American DemocRats will also lose faith in 0bama now that his true allegiances have been exposed.
Next week when this thing heats up around every water cooler, his numbers will take a colossal dive just as they did with the "stupidly" comment.
