California Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina has increased her lead over Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer to five percentage points according to a new CBS 5 KPIX-TV poll released Thursday, which also shows gubernatorial candidates Democrat Jerry Brown and Republican Meg Whitman in a dead heat.
The CBS 5 poll, conducted by the research firm SurveyUSA, showed Fiorina edging Boxer 47 percent to 42 percent, compared to a CBS 5 poll one month ago showing Fiorina over Boxer 47 to 45 percent.
The poll results indicated Fiorina's support was essentially unchanged among men and women, young and old, white and Hispanic while Boxer had lost small ground among men, younger voters, and independents.
The RINO corral is going to be pretty full soon. So many that Meet the Press, Disgrace the Nation etc. won’t know which RINO to choose to “speak” for the Republican Party. A lot of “reaching out” will be going on soon.
Even if the scenario came to pass, the MSM wouldn't make that their headline. They'd be in full spin mode... more like
I’m not a Fiorina fan, either. But she’s a heck of a lot better than Boxer.
Because Stalinist Boxer is better than any RINO? the hell you say...

We have to be realistic. A rock-ribbed conservative would not stand a chance in that part of the country (at least not yet). Carly is a damn sight better than Boxer for sure.
Boxer is as dirty as they come. Every election there is an "October Surprise", but this time Boxer is going to empty her bag of dirty tricks. Do not count her out until somebody drives a wooden stake through her heart.
Box of Rocks could be going down.
Won’t it be a hoot if all these GOP candidates start to peak at just the right moment - say around Halloween Oct 31st ?
My son turns 18 on Friday and can’t wait to register to vote against the check bouncer.
Rachel, I agree.
>A rock-ribbed conservative would not stand a chance in that part of the country (at least not yet).
Exactly. Say what you will about the looney left, they have been remarkably patient in taking small steps to achieve their goals.
This is how we have to take the country back from them. - Small steps.
On what issues is Fiorina out of line with most conservative Republicans? Granted, she probably won't be as conservative as Tom Coburn, but I don't see why should be considered an Olympia Snowe Republican.
Anytime we can send a DemRat packing, it is a good thing. I view defeating a ‘Rat as a positive act, another vote for organizing the Senate in our favor. Giving a radical liberal like Boxer the boot would be especially gratifying.
I wish I could be excited about this.. but Fiorina is such a bad candidate... yes the R’s will pick up a seat and getting rid of Boxer isn’t bad.. but this gal is just going to wind up stabbing conservatives in the back sooner or later, and its truly a sad state of affairs that this is the best that the entire state of California could come up with.
She’ll win with the anti-boxer/democrat vote that will be there this fall, but she’ll be an easy takeout, with only incumbency being behind her in the future.
Fiorina needs to be leading by 10 points or better to eek out a win - California Democrats can easily erase a 5 point margin.
You are right about how dirty that little yenta is. I remember what happened when Bruce Herschenson looked like he was beating Boxer 12 years ago. Don’t underestimate how rotten Bob Mulholland and the California democrat operatives are. I am praying for Boxer to go down, but I have my 5 gallon barf bucket ready for action.
Booting Boxer is a big plus.Fiorina, coming from the business world, doesn’t appear to a socialist....but with politices you never know.
If we had ANY kind of leadership like 1994 did, we'd see 250 seats.
Oh, be still my heart!
