Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin's carefully crafted image as a regular hockey mom has taken a few hits since her unsuccessful vice presidential bid.

But all those who wonder whether revelations of her personal prima donna qualities will damage her image are proceeding from an assumption that she does, in fact, disguise her self-centered side well in managed environments. I've long disagreed with that assessment, because her famous Facebook postings often have the tone of a nasty, snotty, slightly dense but popular high-school girl. Sample recent line: "Okay, Mr. President, you tell us we have to keep looking backward (as we’re steered toward the cliff)."
Palin's dark side came out in full effect this weekend, and this time the victim was not President Obama but a schoolteacher in small-town Alaska. Palin was there to film segment of a nature program on TLC, and she confronted Kathleen Gustafson who was holding up a sign reading "WORST GOVERNOR EVER." Palin clearly intended to disarm Gustafson with her charm, but instead got defensive.
Gustafson, said, "You swore on your precious Bible that you would uphold the interests of this state, and then when cash was waved in front of your face, you quit." To which Palin responded, her tone dripping with unamusing sarcasm, "Oh, you wanted me to be your governor! I’m honored! Thank you!" Palin went on to use the same tone of nasal condescension when saying she was "honored" that Gustafson considers her a celebrity.
It's true, schoolteachers are definitely not a Republican constituency, but anyone, even a Republican, running for president needs to make nice with them on a personal level, just as Democrats do with the military or police officers. This latest incident won't help Palin's negative favorability ratings.

She is a whacko. Something is seriously wrong with that chick. I don’t believe she ever filed any ethics complaints against Sarah, but she is very buddy buddy with guess who..Jesse Griffin, surprise surprise. Its not just ideology that drives these whackos to come out from underneath their rocks, its pure hate and pure jealousy. They see her, they see her life, and they are jealous of it. If it was only ideology I would understand that, but its far beyond that

Not sure on the ethics front but Moore forced the FBI to issue a statement saying Gov. Palin was not under investigation. Moore thats why Gov. Palin step down: building supplies for here house.

Yeah the “Precious bible” comment sealed the deal for me. If anyone was looking for a giant red flag to go off after seeing that protester that was it..I really hope she is not a teacher, if she is, those poor poor children, being taught by THAT

Take a reality check. You don't have to like Sarah--love Mitt or Huck, or McCain, or Obama, but puhleese do a little analysing.
Sarah was one of the most effective governors EVER. She has forgotten more about energy than the Bamster ever even imagined in his wee wee dreams.
It burns me that so many sheep just swallow whole what the media sluts and whoresons put out. Yes she quit! She should have stayed and allowed Alaska to be frozen in time while she spent all her and her staff's time fighting bogus law suits and going into debt?--that would be Sooo helpful to her state and her family. How was that the better part of valor?
Sarah is not afraid to tell it like it is--unlike far too many in DC, who keep talking about cutting spending, but keep living like royalty.
All the furor because she called death panels what they are--an appellation that brought attention to what the appointed panel making decisions under Ocare are REALLY about--rationing care and denying it for many old and very young because they are not viable slaves for the state.
Go Sarah! Keep on telling the unpalatable truths others won't.
