Game over for Keith Olbermann.
The cable news anchor reportedly will no longer be a part of NBCs Football Night in America, where he has contributed segments for the Sunday Night Football broadcasts for the last three years.
Sources confirm to Sports by Brooks that Olbermann will not return this NFL season.
According to the report, NBC News officials were behind the decision, because they want the MSNBC host to focus on his program Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

The lack of focus he is giving his MSNBC program is not the reason for the ratings decline. That being said, couldn’t happen to a better person.
It is important that Olbermann has more time to focus on his countdown program. All 75 viewers will appreciate it.
Old news.
Great news!
I rarely ever watch ‘media’ portion of the games, and only the games themselves, but it WILL be nice to not see Olberwoman whenever I do happen to run across the media portion of the broadcasts.
I suspect they did some market research and found out that alot of people who would normally watch refuse to watch with Oberlann on. I love Tony Dungy but Oberlann is unwatchable.
“Old news” but good news nevertheless. Now I won’t have to change channels when his mug comes on my TV screen.
May be old news but GREAT news!! No more of that Jerk’s comments. We took care of Tony Cornhxxer the same way.
TG
I won’t have to use the MUTE as much.
Is Faith Hill still singin' the song?
Olderwoman pronounces NBC News officials the worst persons in the world!
Old news but Great news.
About time the network comprehends that the majority of folks hate this a-hole olberman.
Made my day!
Hooray!
Yeah, right....I’m sure the decision to boot his ample a$$ had nothing whatsoever to do with thousands of emails telling NBC to get rid of him.
IIRC, people would only switch over once the game had started and would switch off the game at halftime. Olbermann will killing their ratings, and if I also recall correctly, when there was a big hue and cry over Rush owning the Rams, everyone was asking why that lardtush Olbermann was allowed to broadcast over the NFL logo when he was a liberal Democrat hack five nights of the week.
Olbermann could destroy two programs at the same time if they just gave him a chance.
75? Didn’t know he could bribe that many people to watch him.
If this is true, I will be rejoicing. I can now watch my Steelers play without that twit ruining it for me.
Rumor is he sucks in bed, too.
Rumors have been going around for awhile that NBC wants rid of Olbermann altogether. But they don’t want to fire Olbermann outright because they don’t want to pay off his contract.
I bet NBC did this in the hope that Olbermann has one of his hissy fits and quits.
