Will Kate Gosselin hurt Sarah Palin's political career when the two moms appear together on Palin's new TLC show in November?

Slideshows: Palin's Changing Looks | Two Years Of Kate’s Changing Looks

As silly as that sounds, the pundits are starting to talk after TLC announced late Friday that Gosselin would appear on "Sarah Palin's Alaska" sometime in November, after the fall general elections.

Palin is a presumptive presidential candidate for 2012 and has already released one video that appears to be a campaign advertisement.

In the time before the 2012 election, Palin is writing books, doing the TLC series and appearing on Fox News as a contributor.

But does an extended photo of with a reality TV star who is a magnet for the paparazzi and bad press the best decision for Palin.

Will Pissant’s constant trolling and association with Duncan Hunter turn everyone off?

It's required, as the defacto leader of the PDS Posse.

Again, I refer to her actual history, rather than the TV soundbite history we get from the MSM. You can read it easily enough on Wikipedia, if you truly care.

She is tough as nails and definitely not in it for the money.

I must have missed the part where Politicalmom was doing a reality TV show while thinking of running for President.

Romney is obama-lite, Huckleberry is a televangelist, and Newt ain't got a chance...and Jerry Springer ain't running.

Yes, yes. None of us like any of them either. What does that have to do with whether Palin would be a good candidate for President? Do you have some reason to believe that those are going to be her only opponents?

I read your post, and would like to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Soeaking in specifics, rather than generalities, what qualifications does the next R Potus candidate need?

I guess sitting in your garage, wearing your tin foil hat, and hoping some will sign up for your make-believe Falcon Party doesn’t cut it. Maybe there’s something at the Senior Center (like bingo or post card collections) that might interest you...

I pictured something out of Caddyshack.

That’s fine. You vote for who you want. Why do you think you have the right to denigrate others who want to make their own choice?

You can choose whoever you want. If you post opinions on FR, is it even REMOTELY possible someone might disagree?

I want her to host the Jersey Shore kids for a week in the boonies. Or maybe even better...the kids from The Hills.

Do you know that? I mean . . . . REALLY? Honestly, I can not think of a logical reason for her to connect with Kate Goslin. None of this is making sense to me - UNLESS - you add the dollar signs.

Let her do the Alaska show . . . have some strong Americans we can be proud of standing beside her . . . but Kate Goslin?

Well, I certainly would agree that FDR was no brighter than many of his contemporaries, but he was an experienced executive, unusually articulate (as is Obama, superficially) and, in spite of his Progressivism, he loved America and did not flinch in her defense when called upon to lead. In large measure that meant sacrificing his domestic agenda in pursuit of defeating a common and dangerous enemy.

Could Ms. Palin could be trusted to lead the nation under such dire circumstances? One would like to think so. The present occupant of the Oval Office offers me no such comfort.

Sir Winston Churchill on the other hand, was in a different league entirely. Even a cursory reading of his six-volume history of the Second World War (and especially "The Gathering Storm") reveals a searching and powerful intellect, informed (as is rare) by both logical discipline and creativity. His extemporaneous speeches on the floor of Commons in 1940 were both eerily prescient and articulate in a way one never hears today, ever, from anyone in public life.

Yes, Sir Winston drank a great deal and smoked even more, and he's my hero for all the reasons adduced above, including the last.

If she's under contract, she pretty much has to do what they tell her to do.

That may be true, but why did she enter into such a contract in the first place?

If Palin is actually planning to run for President, then doing this TV show was a pretty stupid move. The fact that the show is going to feature the likes of Kate Gosselin makes it a really stupid move.

I’ll hold final judgement on this until AFTER is see the film.

But until then, I might as well show that I’m willing to go with the flow of the majority on this thread...... “Obama 2012”.

Yes, let’s all join together and gladly shout, “Obama 2012”, “Obama 2012”, “Obama 2012”.... “YEEEE HAAA OBAMA 2012”.

"Why do you think you have the right to denigrate others who want to make their own choice? "

Ma'am...I don't play the liberal games of "accusing the accuser", and I wish you wouldn't either. I did not denigrate anyone unless you're couting the other candidates I mentioned.

If asking you if you're being judgemental is denigrating, then your skin is thinner than obamas.

I've had my say, you've had yours...I'm done.

I tend to think we may have some other candidates to vote for along with Palin. It is a little too soon to concede to Obama.

Sure a lot of people dont like Kate, but the size of her fan club is seriously underappreciated. Lots of people love her.

<><><><><><

I have yet to meet, in person, someone claiming to be conservative that loves her. All those that do that I’ve met are Oprah followers.

Can’t see how that will help Sarah

Its never good enough. You either praise her every move or prepare for a personal attack.

No one gets by the gate keepers. Truth is Palin probably doesn’t sendeth out the hounds to attack the sheeple she hasn’t herded yet. LOL

Kate Gosselin was a very pretty woman UNTIL she butchered up her face. I can’t stand to look at her now. What are these women thinking when they do this? If Sara Palin butchers her face, as far as I’m concerned I don’t want to look at her again.
