The National Boy Scout Jamboree ended, Wednesday, and President Obama broke a quasi-tradition by declining to address the Scouts.
The quadrennial event has been held at Fort A.P. Hill near Washington D.C. since 1981. This year's event celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the organization.
In lieu of an appearance at the 10-day-long Jamboree, Obama appeared on the View, attended several Democrat fundraisers and visited Detroit.
He did send a short videotaped message which reportedly was shown in a mix of several other presentations. When the president appeared he was roundly booed by the 35,000 Scouts, one man who was there said.

The libs haven’t figured out how to crack down on airsoft yet...
And many young men are getting “prepared” with training and practice in weapons, tactics, communications, etc,
by “playing” airsoft and paintball.

I’m glad that the final word on the matter is up to what ‘one man who was there said.’

Why should they be friendly, reverent, courteous, loyal or kind to an enemy of our country and way of life?

Congratulations to your son. His experiences in Scouts will serve him well.
Boys that understand and excell in Scouting exit as fine young men. I am very proud of my Eagle Scout son as well.

I read the comments and I'm sorry to hear about your heroin problem. I mean some anonymous guy named ‘loonmaniac’ on YouTube has to be a legitimate source, right?

I have a confession. I have been around a long time. Never in all my years have I ever been a hater of anyone or anything. I regret to say, that is no longer true. The past few years have caused me to think things I never thought possible. Guess I'm going to have to work on that!

My brother and his son were there, and he says that almost the entire crowd booed Obama.
Although Obama certainly deserved it, I’m a little surprised that the scouts would do so.
Not that Obama cares.

Re: Booing at scout jamboree... Just got off the phone with my grandson. I asked if there was a lot of booing at the presidents video?
He said " YEA, THERE WAS".. He is not too talkative like most teen boys...short and to the point...

He’ll think you’re cracking up. The scouts have way too much class to boo a President. Even one as corrupt as obummer.
