The police on Staten Island were searching for three assailants Sunday in connection with the robbery and beating of a Mexican teenager a day earlier — the latest in a series of attacks on Mexican immigrants in Port Richmond that has spurred a heightened police presence and discussions among community leaders and residents on how to curb the rising violence.
The assault occurred about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday as the victim, a 17-year-old high school junior, whose name was not disclosed by the authorities, was returning home after working a late shift as a busboy at a restaurant in Manhattan, the police and neighborhood advocates said.
As he passed through the intersection of Castleton Avenue and Simonson Place — three blocks from the heart of the police buildup on Port Richmond Avenue, the neighborhood’s main commercial strip — a Hispanic man approached him and asked him a question, possibly to distract him, according to the police. Suddenly, two black men appeared and began punching the victim in the face and yelling anti-Mexican slurs, the police said. The three men stole $10 from the teenager and fled.
The victim was treated for lacerations at Richmond University Medical Center and released.
The police said Saturday’s attack was at least the 10th instance in the past four months in which assailants, mostly young black men, have assaulted Mexican immigrants walking in Port Richmond, which has seen the number of Mexican residents climb sharply over the past two decades.
The police say they are investigating the latest attack as a hate crime. They also treated the nine earlier cases as hate crimes, though in the three cases in which arrests have been made, grand jurors declined prosecutors’ requests to indict the suspects on hate-crime charges...

This is the third or fourth such incident on Staten Island. They’ve been covering up the race of the perps for weeks.
Amnesty would cut in on welfare checks. Those on welfare would have to "spread their freebies around" in order for 11 million to join in. The government is broke. The welfare recipients will have to learn to live on less.
IIRC, NY Post and other sources are writing this incident makes the tally 11.
Thirty five years is a long time to be loving on an island.
“Young blacks” hate Mexicans because Mexicans actually - gasp - work.
This is the reverse of the pattern in the southwest and california. In that section of the country, there is a certain section of the Mexican population that thinks of blacks as varmits that need killing and another section of the mexican population that’s gang related. Both groups take a heavy toll on blacks.
More americans have been killed by illegals than have been killed in the middle east. the reason that this doesn’t make headlines is that most of those americans killed are black.
40% of the small businesses in this country are owned by Hispanics. We’re talking tiny businesses, ranging from lawn services to restaurants and corner groceries.
Blacks could have been building businesses, but they didn’t, preferring to wait for government handouts. That’s why the attacked the Korean businesses in Watts. Revenge - for their own mistakes.
The young man’s name was not disclosed. Probably because it never happened. Mexico said they were sending people to Staten Island. What nonsense.
It is okay that Mexicans in Mexico get beheaded but Mexico is concerned more about illegal Mexican in America.
Mexican “youth”? In my PC dictionary, that translates to Mexican Muslim.
Could this be called a “Hate Crime?”
Or can only whites be guilty of that?
African Americans in LA in the drug trade and who live there say the Mexicans and Latin Americans are pushing them out. It is a lot like ethnic cleansing in the balkans.

When Hate Crime stats first came out, they found that black males were responsible for most of them so they decided to quit charging blacks for hate crimes. If this is treated as a Hate Crime, it will represent a shift in that thinking.
We know that blacks cannot be guilty of racism or hate crimes.
Therefore it’s obvious that the brown “yoot” is the one guilty of a racist hate crime.
He allowed himself to be seen by the three black “yoots”. upsetting them and causing them to excersize their rights of free speech.
In this case that free speech took the form of robbing him and pounding the snot out of him.
My bad....lived on Staten Island.... In fact I still live there and it breaks my heart about all the bad press we are getting because of those delinquents who are beating people up.
I hear you. I have many relatives on Staten Island, and it is a pity that the welfare populations have been invited in by social reformers. The crime rate is skyrocketing, and since it is still a part of NYC, people can’t protect themselves with concealed carry.
Staten Is. should secede from NYC.
It’s weird about the 13’s and the 14’s—they hate the “mayates” and yet can’t get enough of 70’s soul in LA and rap in northern Cali.

A word to the wise. Chicanos, American born Hispanics, do not like Mexicans, and vice-versa.
Are the two groups are starting to fight over the division of the spoils?
