Rising Speculation About Bombing Iran’s Nukes Two non-hawks say Obama might bomb Iran.
Many years ago, I was privileged to attend a dinner with James Rowe, one of the passion-for-anonymity young aides to Franklin Roosevelt, original author of the winning strategy for Harry Truman’s 1948 campaign, and close confidant of Lyndon Johnson.
Rowe described how Johnson tested insider opinion. He would call an ideologically wide range of acquaintances and ask their views on an issue of the day. Most responded as he expected. But when one or two said something he hadn’t expected, he would take notice. Maybe things weren’t going as he thought.

The most that President Hussein could be persuaded to do is NOT launch an attack on Israel in retaliation for Israel’s attack of Iran. And even that’s iffy.

I agree although the comments coming out of the Gulf region lately suggest that something may be up. If so the action lies with Israel, not with the kenyan usurper in the WH.

I wouldn’t put it past Obama to pull an October/November surprise either in 2010 or 2012 and bomb Iran to rally the country behind him on the literal eve of an election. Why would such a cynical Wag the Dog action surprise any of us?
I would prefer that the Kenyan stay in character and do nothing about Iran. Anything he does do is likely to be self-serving and harmful to the US, so we’d all be better off if he keeps golfing instead.
2010 perhaps...if nothings done to stop Iran before 2012 Israel will be a smoldering heap. Thank goodness that will never happen. Israel will always have at least one ally on whom it may depend.
The bombing has long been delegated to the IDF and GCC air forces. The Messiah inherited the policy established bu W.
America will be involved after there is surrogate attack on targets in ally territory.
The war will begin with in about 5 weeks.

If I were Israel, I’d bomb Iran on a cold moonless night in October, maybe two weeks or so before the US midterm elections.

It’s more likely that this chatter is intended to get Israel to wait longer, when they may already have waited too long. There is no way in the world that Obama would intentionally do the right thing, especially when it comes to nuclear weapons in the hands of our enemies.
