Clash of Titans?
Sounds more like Weasel Wrestling to me.
Only way I'd watch that is if the loser gets their head bitten off.

I have always loved Newt. I thought he should have been president a long time ago. The only people who detest Newt are liberals and those who can't think for themselves; who let media hit pieces do their thinking for them.
That being said, I think Newt has missed his time. His recent statement that Tea Partiers should try to resolve their differences with the black panthers shows that he is no longer ready for prime time.
But when I become president, he's definitely going to be part of my administration.

No to Newt. He doesn’t have the Conservative heart, but a big government heart.

I like Newt, he's got a lot of IQ points and he is a great idea man, one of our best. But he is NOT presidential material, sorry, no leadership skills, no executive experience. He deserves a high office in any GOP administration, but he does not belong at the top of the ticket.

The Newt haters on this site bore me.I don't hate Newt. I just don't trust him. Ask either of his two ex-wives. He is not trustworty or faithful.
Not only that, I don't trust his judgement. Exhibit A:
I admire the man, have bought his two latest books, and listen to him when he speaks. He is a brilliant conservative mind, however, he should be relegated to the role of advisor or consultant to the Republican party, not it's top guy. Newt just has too much baggage.
And after seeing the radio, print, and TV adds on "CLIMATE CRISIS!", I lost alot of respect for Newt.
The next Republican CONSERVATIVE GOP head should be throwing rocks at Pelosi/Reid/Obama, not sitting on a couch with them on a bogus "crisis".

Imagine a 2012 Clinton/Gingrich Face-Off Why imagine something that doesn't have a snowball's chance of happening?
To: Kaslin
First, if Obama were not going to seek a 2nd term and give the nomination to Clinton, the best course of action would be to
- (1) get Biden to resign,
- (2) appoint Clinton as VP,
- (3) Obama resign,
- (4) Clinton becomes the sitting, thus incumbent, President to face the GOP in 2012.
Second, if the Grand
Old Party nominates Gingrich, they deserve the same result they got in 1996 and in 2008. Gingrich cannot win in the general election. The MSM and opposition would haul his trainload of baggage continuously. The LAST thing the GOP needs with another OLD-hack nominee.

Newt would “reach across the aisle” and seek to be Hillary’s VP.
To: Grunthor
Although I truly admired his leadership in the House, one of the only way America would accept four more years of Socialist leadership is if Newt Gingrich is the alternative.

One does not have to “hate” Newt to point out that he would be a lousy candidate, that his best time has past, and that for most of the public who would recognize his name - it would not be a positive association.
Newt would be a great ‘Svengali’ or ‘power behind the throne’, but he was and would be a lousy standard bearer.

(Disclosure: Newt's my dad.)
Jackie is floating a trial balloon. Newt floats these every few months. He has been floating them since before the 2008 election.
Newt keeps hoping for a groundswell of support. It never seems to develop.

Again, in 2008, that’s what a lot of conservatives did...
they opted out of voting for Rhino McCain so Bamster slimed in...
Just quoting the Architect....
