Yours is the best comment I have read so far, and the one that comes closest to describing the double standard.

Racism and leftism is not about Race at all. The Democrats could give a whit about "race" or the "little guy". They are anti-American and are using race to divide America. Leftists, Democrats and race hustlers cannot stand tall on their core belief's in this Country. They have to hide around double speak and meet in small venue's of like minds then go out and spew their lies and hijack more of the English language.

The democrats cannot survive much longer as a party in tact since their policies of "race" and "groups" are at odds with American values; not to mention the internal strife as each "race" or "group" tries to solidify more power. The Democrats and complicit lamestream are just good at polishing turds and making it look like there is some "unification" within their party.

Seldom expect class or dignity out of the NAACP.

Good post, Michael.

I am now wondering if this “teapot tempest” isn’t meant to divide us more, and also!

.......To distract us from the other major problems this administration is facing. After all, what does the oil contamination in the GOM matter, or the horrible unemployment problem, or the loss of credibility overseas, or the economic catastrophe we are facing...

Let’s all focus on racism, yeah! That’s the ticket!

Black racism toward whites has been going on since I was a young ‘un, way back in the 70s. But, we whites are not supposed to notice this, or if we do, we are supposed to tolerate it because some of our forefathers bought black slaves from traders.

Give me a break. I judge people on the content of their character. No-one escapes my analysis of how they treat their fellow man, no matter what their color or country of origin. I avoid racists of any color or nationality, because I consider it a character defect.

I also avoid urban areas full of folks who are known to have no character.

IMHO this election cycle’s October Surprise from the Marxists will be race. If Onada can stir up sufficient numbers of black and non-black racists he may be able to manufacture a violent, or potentially violent, situation that will enable him impose martial law and/or postpone (forever) fair and honest elections.

I really can’t believe I’m saying this, but if you look at the left’s options to cling to power it’s the only way to go. History shows us that the left always benefits from chaos because it is always better organized.

The racist attacks by the Marxists on the Tea Party makes sense because the Tea Party movement is spoiling their coup. This will be escalated by the left in an attempt to get whacko white supremicists to attack blacks.

yeah, exactly. Hypothetical, could you imagine what the NAACP would do if they had a video of a small business owner addressing a Tea Party crowd, and saying that “he has lowered his service standards for people of color, because they vote for higher taxes that hurt him and his business, so they can basically get a free ride off his labor.” I don’t many in the Tea Party would stand for that or laugh at that, and he would be booed off the stage, and rightly so.

That’s basically the double standard we are seeing here, she lowered her standard for a white man, just because of skin color and her deep seated racial views. If it was reverse....well you know what they would say.

See what I was talking about?

Now we have the NAACP saying that they didn’t know what Sherrod said at the NAACP MEETING, but that they found out by watching a short YOUTUBE video, which ‘misled’ them.

And... the game is not over yet. Be prepared.

One thing though.....she appeared on multiple outlets, but cancelled Megyn Kelly and would not appear on BOR. Apparently, she believes the meme that Foxnews is the bad guy.

"Yeah, but will Obama reverse his decision to fire her? He’s damned if he does; damned if he doesn’t."

Would somebody please tell Obama whose ass to kick???"

ROFLMBO -- That's a sweet perspective on this. It's like Brietbart dropped a bunch of chum in the water and the sharks are all fighting over it...

First, I think there WAS perhaps a deal already made. Sherrod won a $13 Million Dollar Settlement against USDA for her and her husband’s farm organization right before she was appointed to the position at the USDA in GA.

The NAACP is thinking of being in her corner now, after denouncing her as a racist (which they were right to do — there are other instances of her speaking in a racist manner in regards to “Whites” in the recent past). In other words the NAACP has found a way to massage the situation to their liking. With the way so many even here at FR are talking on some of these threads - that she got a raw deal - I’m not too surprised.

The thing is I sort of believe her - in the video she DID say “it’s not about Black and White” which was greeted by a bad reaction and she quickly changed what she said - “it IS about Black and White”. She almost lost her audience with that ONE statement, and had to quickly reassure them by speaking in a racially charged way in order to “relate” to those attending the event.

The whole interaction paints a much larger picture than this woman. It shows what the ORGANIZATION the NAACP is all about. The reaction of the audience to her story is the very telling part, IMHO. It proves that the majority of the vocal audience was not only accepting, but indeed approving of her actions when she DID speak of racially motivated discrimination against Whites. It’s damning for that reason alone to the NAACP - again it’s all JMHO.

I got a chance to hear the entire tape. She was really telling a story how she in the beginning treated people based on race, but later realized that it was an issue between poor and rich and how much private legal aid they can access to save their farms. In the end she told the audience that she realized that poor whites were mistreated just like poor blacks. In fact the white farmer she referred to in her story actually is defending her and asking the USDA to restore her job, because she did a good job in helping them save their farm when the white lawyer decided that their case was not worth his cost and effort. THE SAD PART OF THE WHOLE EPISODE IS IF A WHITE SPEAKER SAID THE SAME THING AND THE MEDIA WENT NUTS, HE WILL STILL BE FIRED. HE WILL NOT GET A SECOND REVIEW. SHE WILL BE A CASUALTY OF THE RACE WAR STARTED BY BLACKS WHEN THEY CRUCIFIED WHITES FOR MAKING INNOCENT REMARKS (APOLOGIES UNACCEPTABLE, JUST LOOK AT IMUS) OR REMARKS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT. THEY STARTED THE NO PRISONER DOCTRINE AND NOW ONE OF THEIR OWN INNOCENT (IMHO AFTER LISTENING TO THE ENTIRE TAPE) WILL BE SCALPED IN THE CONFLICT. Personally I think the right thing to do is restore her job, but I also have second thoughts because the gesture will be seen as white weakness by the NAACP and they will double their efforts to crucify whites. In war one must do the smart thing, not the right thing to survive and win. It is a regrettable conclusion but conservatives cannot stand down until the NAACP and the militant blacks no longer hold any political influence in this country.

I have a few observations based on what you've said.... 1. She still discriminated in an official position because of race. And she is getting a pass 'cause she saw the light. Would that happen to a white?

2. This discrimination based on race was apparently appreciated by the crowd. (THIS, I believe, was and is Breitbart's point in releasing the video.)

3. Her changed attitude on race supposedly earns her a "pass" with the libs, but when slavery ended and the ENTIRE NATION changed its attitude on race, the price still has to be paid for generations--even 150 years later. The liberals still are bashing America over the head for that "original sin" of slavery that was officially wiped out back in 1863/65.

"It is NOT possible to excuse the NAACP members who responded during her speech."

That's the difference here concerning the racism charge. The only racism charge against the tea party that has any validity is the possibility of racist signs. I have not seen those signs, but lets suppose for a moment they exist. Does that mean the tea party is racist? Certainly not. Does that mean that someone attending the tea party is racist? Probably. However, that person could also be a plant ala Alinsky style also. We just don't know.

The important thing is that no one who is speaking or who is organizing and coordinating the differing tea partys has been shown to be racist. You may be able to say that Williams who wrote the piece that everyone is up in arms about is guilty of poor taste. When doing satire, especially satire of controversial subjects, it is easy to miss the mark. That doesn't make him a racist, he was trying to use satire to prove a point. I got it, but others may not have. As you have outlined, actual NAACP members at that speech were nodding in agreement with her former racists ways. I'm surprised we didn't hear an amen from the crowd when talking about not helping the white farmer. Those were not fringe members of the NAACP, but participating, full fledged, dues paying members. Big difference from someone who comes to a free event and brings a sign.
