Tonight, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will debate his primary challengers, former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) and conservative "tea party" activist Jim Deakin in one of only two Republican primary debates.
During the one hour debate, Hayworth will likely concentrate on McCain's 28 years in Congress with a focus on his position on immigration. Deakin said he will compare and contrast his approach in representing constituents to the "other two entrenched politicians." A McCain campaign spokesman said that the Senator "looks forward to a spirited discussion on the issues facing Arizonans."
The LIVE debate will take place tonight at KTVK-TV in Phoenix, Arizona.

First SHOCK of the night, NO “MY FRIENDS” or “Fellow Arizonans”, and it’s been 10 minutes.

He’s going to implode... JD is purposely goading McCain and Mac is falling for it.
To: rintense
Nah, JD has the type of eyes that slant up. He’s originally from North Carolina and it’s a pretty common eyeset there.

Yeah, but he's not letting their distortions go unchallenged. Very interesting. He's willing to be undiplomatic in what he says.

Folks, if you’re watching over there, post some comments there, and vote for “immigration” to be the most important issue.
You don’t have to register, and I’d like to trounce McCain on that forum with your help.

Deakin is there to pull off the Ron Paul voters to keep JD from winning.

I'm waiting for JD to ask McCain why is he being tougher on a fellow Republican than he was on Obama?

OUCH!!!! Political shape shifter! Now McCain saying Hayworth was a big spender. Laughable. McCain ‘I’m suspending my campaign to vote for the worst piece of crap, pork filled spending bill ever’ has some nerve.
To: AuntB

McCain defending rules of engagement.
JD just referred to McCain as a political shapeshifter, should be a statesman, decrying McCain’s attack ad.
Attacking McCain’s record.
McCain using the Reagan “there you go again” quote.

That moderator should be caned after this is over. Both JD’s questions have been insulting and damaging, rather than questions on real issues. And Juan’s first question was a softball.
