In the political marketplace, theres now a run on Obama shares. The Left is disappointed with the president. Independents are abandoning him in droves. And the Right is already dancing on his political grave, salivating about November, when, his own press secretary admitted Sunday, Democrats might lose the House.
I have a warning for Republicans: Dont underestimate Barack Obama.
Consider what he has already achieved. Obamacare alone makes his presidency historic. It has irrevocably changed one-sixth of the economy, put the country inexorably on the road to national health care, and, as acknowledged by Senate Finance Committee chairman Max Baucus but few others, begun one of the most massive wealth redistributions in U.S. history.

Worse than whom? Chavez, Castro or Mugabe?................
We have a bad habit of underestimating our enemies, foreign and domestic.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Krauthammer is a wise man. In short, his advice is keep your powder dry. Obama does not see this as the end and neither should we. We make lite of him at our peril.
I remember how everybody on the right was sure Clinton would be “one and done” after he got his clock cleaned in the 1994 midterms.
“...We have a bad habit of underestimating our enemies, foreign and domestic...”
In this case, Obama is both foreign and domestic at the same time.
If Obama is planning on a second term, he is running the worst campaign imaginable.
Another term for that communist POS is unthinkable. There’s a good chance he’ll destroy the country in one term. A second term would guarantee that, not only would he destroy the country, but he’d drive a stake through its heart and we’d NEVER recover from it. Truly U-N-T-H-I-N-K-A-B-L-E the damage the SOB would do with another four years.
*shrug* — Unless he’s got the election-process rigged.
Agree with the article except to the point that it says that we are going to live under 0bamunism forever. Some people thought slavery would last forever before the Civil War. Read the about regulations that the New Deal imposed, I suppose many people thought they would last forever too.
What we have going for us is that the American people remeber the better times of the 80s, 90s and most of the 00s and will want them back.
So why, by way of payback, don't our “republican” congress critters filibuster everything the dems propose now? Answer: they really don't mind Obamacare, as long as they can continue to feed at the trough.
Don't underestimate the globalist Marxists behind Obama. They have no fear of riots or "revolution", because they know they are safe behind their armed compounds, wealth, and assassins.
IMO, if Obama wins in 2012, in 2016 he will try to pull a Zelaya (ousted president of Honduras). He'll try to override the 22nd amendment via a "referendum" or congressional act. It won't matter that it is illegal, he'll use the same old cry of "follow the will of the People". He'll cry racism at those who oppose. The Marxist cabal is banking on the fact that a majority are completely ignorant of our laws and form of government.
I think Krauthammer is entirely right. For one thing, Obama has been building a group of mindless sycophants and for another, the new black panthers are being allowed, even encouraged, to disruption elections. Beware. This man is evil and he is dangerous.
It is a forgone conclusion TODAY, that Obama's chances of a second term lay somewhere between slim and none. However, we are still over 2 years away from election 2012, and LOTS could change.
I don't, for a second, believe that we will ever come to regard Bammy as the salvation of America by then, but his efforts to become king, dictater, emperor, whatever of America for life could be in place by then.
Let's not rush to put the cart before the horse . . . . . not just yet.
“Worse than whom? Chavez, Castro or Mugabe?................”
Yes.
Have you forgotten how many votes we have in the Senate? Please, save your “blame the Republicans for this” rant for when we actually have a meaningful shot at filibustering without having to hold down every single vote like Susan Collins. The vast majority of Republicans are conservative, and most of the ones who aren’t are getting weeded out now in the primaries.
Congress passed Obamacare without a single Republican vote. This is a fact. And yet there are still people who look to blame the GOP first. Give credit where credit is due. Fight for ideological purity in the primaries, but then vote GOP in the general election.
It still remains to be seen if RATcare will pass constitutional muster.
Charles is brilliant, but from time to time, he is wrong.
Obama is simply Jimmy Carter on steriods!
