Politics makes for strange bedfellows. None stranger than conservative radio legend Rush Limbaugh and politically liberal tech visionary Steve Jobs.
Limbaugh launched a passionate defense of Apple and its iPhone 4 on his syndicated radio program Thursday, saying he "had no reception problems" with the one he recently purchased.

Paging Mr. Gunner.
Well.. AIDS carrier and sodomy supporter Elton John is a pretty odd match too.
Right away, got it covered.
Reminds me of Janet Reno when she attacked the dot coms by suing Microsoft and started the whole thing crumbling in the 90's.
Hi sweetie
Until given a reason to do otherwise, I trust Rush.
He was one of the first conservatives to praise Michael Jackson, for being the individual and entertainer that he was, and he has great appreciation for Elton John. This is something that liberals never understand, and why they screeched when John played at his marriage.
With Jobs and Apple, liberals like him because he's a fellow liberal. They don't care about the company or product. If Jobs were a conservative, they'd call for boycotts and ask why no minorities are working for him.
This letter by Schumer really galls me. Believe me, if they will start going after Apple, they will go after ANYONE. Careful Apple, now that you are one of the Big Players, there will be those who want to knock you down. What goes around, comes around.
Good that Rush clarified that he just likes their product, and isn’t in the tank for Apple as I’ve assumed, given how much he seems to pimp for them. Lots of people like Apple product, nothing wrong with that. I just hope that he realizes they *are* the “conformist” products he ranted against, i.e. there are plenty of good MP3 players other than the iPod (and ones that don’t put music into crap AAC restricted format), plenty of good smartphones other than the Iphone, etc. Many people buy Apple because it’s the cool hip “in” thing to do, not because of any differentiated product attributes.
And, anyone who understands anything about how RF works knows this antenna problem is real - you cannot repeal the laws of physics, Captain...
Did you ever find that link where radio stations are forced to list their advertisers to the FCC?...
Rush has always been an Apple Fanboy.
Going way back, Rush sang the praises of his Apple MacIntosh
Rush said his iPhone works. Hardly an “impassioned defense”. You Rush-haters are really reaching. I suggest you boycott Apple.
When Rush bought his iPhone4, he purchased 40 more for his family, his staff, and friends.
None of them have had problems with the phones.
Rush doesn’t know if he owns Apple stock. His stocks are managed by a business concern.
He compared this trashing of the Apple iPhone4 to the trashing of Toyota last year. In the end, it was found that nearly all Toyota problems were attributable to people mis-operating their vehicles.
Chuck You Schumer is now demanding that Apple take action to correct this travesty. (iPhone4) Chuck You was the loud mouth in the room with Toyota too.
My iPhone4 is working just fine, no problems.
“Rush said his iPhone works.”
Yeah, do you assume his other stuff works?
There’s an app for that.

I don’t know why you hate Rush so much, but since you aren’t smart enough to know what ammo fits your rifle, you don’t have a lot of room to talk. Why don’t you and the rest of your little gang at the trailer park run down to the river and shoot some beer cans off each other’s heads?
Don’t argue with me, I just find the whole line of reasoning amusing.
I’m just picturing thousands of turtleneck wearing metrosexuals trying to figure out how to respond to this news.
Mostly because your mom's food stamps came in and she's got mac-n-cheese and a bottle of Jack.
That makes for big fun in the trailer park, you know.
