Rumors abound as to exactly how Mrs. Obama obtains her wardrobe
The Daliy Caller ^ | 07/14/2010 | Caroline May

It is no secret that the Obamas are advocates for free handouts, but even in her personal life Michelle Obama does not appear to have shied away from accepting free goodies. Numerous news outlets have reported on the first lady’s proclivity for high fashion. And Mrs. Obama’s pricey tastes have not precluded her ability to wear the outfits over which many women drool.

Rumors abound as to exactly how the first family obtains all the pomp and frills associated with Mrs. Obama’s wardrobe. Do the Obamas pay for it all themselves or are the first lady’s outfits given to her gratis? As with most things, it appears the answer lies somewhere in the middle.

Ikram Goldman, owner of the Chicago boutique Ikram, manages the majority of the first lady’s sartorial needs. Any designer wishing to dress Mrs. Obama must first go through Goldman, who remains exceedingly tight-lipped as to her dealings with the first lady. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Goldman donated $6,900 to Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, yet it is unclear whether Mrs. Obama pays for her services.

True to form, Goldman has yet to respond to any of The Daily Caller’s myriad attempts to contact her.

Thanks for the ping! So nice to see two women in classy, age-appropriate outfits, unlike the First Lady.

LOL!

Subliminal bodily fluids?

(Now I am really wondering who that red-headed guy is. Unless it's a common English facial type that I've never run across, there can't be TWO men the same age with that distinctive look. If it's the same fellow, I can't say much for his choice of friends, but he has an absolutely splendid voice.)

Once in a while, she looks very nice. She has several good features - her height, her skin, her shoulders - and her poor features could be de-emphasized by the right clothing. Just like all of us! It’s really sad that with all that money and staff, she can’t even look “okay” most of the time.

Thanks a bunch! (I will say though that she has beautiful skin. Never noticed that before.)

Did Pope Benedict firmly place his hand over his mouth while snorting beer out his nose? Probably not - he’s a gentleman ...

Gen. Jack D. Ripper: Do you realize that fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous communist plot we have ever had to face?... On no account will a Commie ever drink water, and not without good reason!

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Colonel, Colonel, I must know what you think has been going on here.

Col. "Bat" Guano: You wanna know what I think?... I think you're some kind of deviated prevert. I think general Ripper found out about your preversion, and you were organizing some kind of mutiny of preverts....

Gen. Jack D. Ripper: I can no longer sit back and allow communist infiltration, communist indoctrination, communist subversion, and the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

How can you SAY that? Thomas Jefferson was our THIRD PRESIDENT and although many have taken issue with his ideology, I’ve never heard ONE PERSON decry his or his family’s manners or public behavior. You should have more respect.

Now I am really wondering who that red-headed guy is. Unless it's a common English facial type that I've never run across, there can't be TWO men the same age with that distinctive look.

The guy in the photo with Icky Ikram is Hamish Bowles, who is European editor at large for Vogue, and is 47 years old. So, probably not the same guy in the Clare College choir. Here he is with Diane von Furstenburg.

Many years ago, I knew an American guy of English/Welsh extraction from the deep south who looked very much like this guy.

Seen one white guy, seen 'em all.

A simple sheath dress can do wonders - especially if you have nice arms.

But that must be too traditional for her.
She likes to be known for not playing by the rules.

Thanks, Albion. Weezie had more heart than Michelle. Hey, I hear there’s goin’ to be a Broadway at the White House concert this week! The well was capped a few minutes ago; it’s ok to keep on partying!

UGH how putrid. Enormous pores, caked on makeup, scum in her bottom teeth, painted on eyebrows, damn she is nasty.

LOL surely you forgot the sarcasm tag. You can’t see her skin, she has pounds of foundation on and her pores are like craters.

Nope, you can't have it both ways.

If she had on tons of foundation, you really couldn't see her skin and her pores wouldn't show.

Everybody's pores show in that close a closeup. I don't like her makeup (I'm a minimalist) but, seriously, her skin is good - even tone and very smooth.

Nobody notices it because she dresses like she ran through the Goodwill snatching stuff at random off the rack, but that's a different issue.

Now that I see the whole outfit she wore, that lady has some major issues. It’s like a punch in the face.
