Much as I like Mel Gibsom as an actor, he hasn’t been acting very Christian, lately.

True. Dumping his wife of many years, shacking up with a bimbo young enough to be his daughter, going off drunk into profanity-laced tirades, and generally acting like an out-of-control idiot does not demonstrate any kind of Christian influence in his life. We all stray, like sheep, and perhaps Mel has just wandered far off the path. His "Passion" movie was incredible, and was one of the most important films made in recent memory. But since then, he has not walked the walk or even talked the talk. Restoration is available if he will seek it with humility, but even then it will take quite a while before his credibility is restored.

His credibility may never be restored.

We can obtain God’s forgiveness, but we have to live with the consequences of our actions and our words.

Still, I hope he does turn back to God, and I hope that he does make an effort to live rightly, and to restore his credibility.
