It's interesting to try to divine the chicken-and-egg of Mel Gibson's firing by WME last week: Was it his (first-alleged, now aurally proved) misogynistic and racist comments that enabled the agency to part ways with him, or was it the death of longtime agent Ed Limato that did the trick?
Earlier today the news surfaced that William Morris Endeavor had split with Gibson last week-- as Limato lay seriously ill, and just several days after Radar Online broke the news that Gibson had verbally abused his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva by using the N-word. (The reports were just that until today, when audio of the Gibson incident was released on Radar.)
There's of course a third variable in all this -- the fact that Gibson just wasn't much of a bankable star anymore anyway.

Hard case to make. Voigt's career peaked in the mid 1970s. At that time, he was thoroughly liberal, making appearances with Jane Fonda to protest the Pinochet regime in Chile. His least real feature film leads were in the mid 1980s. Since then he's been relegated mostly to supporting parts. He didn't really come out as a conservative until the last five years or so.

Truman subscribes to the philosophy: from each according to his ability, to each according to his need.
Just like Obama, Truman feels America is just too darn prosperous and needs to be cut down to size. Fortunately, we have our socialist leaders to decide when we have too much wealth.

My guess is that you will not be able to do that.
Using racist name calling does not necessarily make one a racist. Hard to imagine Mel working so close with Danny Glover and being racist.
More important to me is that Mel reportedly hit his girlfriend while she was holding their baby, knocking out her two front teeth.
Mel was one of the few Holly Wood types I had any respect for. I cannot respect men that hit women. It’s hard for me to say this, but I no longer have any respect for him. It’s hard to say, because I really, liked and respected his work...and because it means he has fallen a long, long way.

Yes it is and as an American Citizen who has lived in other countries and was actually born in another country, I understand that more than anyone.
Now, earlier in this thread you said that I hate Jews.
And as a Catholic that is married to a Jewish woman and has three wonderful Jewish children, that offends me greatly.
