Police in Southern California say officers shot and killed a 15-year-old suspected of driving a stolen vehicle.
Bakersfield police began pursuing the 2001 Acura around 9:20 p.m. Friday. They say the driver stopped, but then backed into a patrol car after being approached by two officers.
The officers opened fire multiple times, striking the teen. Police say he was pronounced dead at Kern Medical Center.

Welp, when police got to him, he wasn't doing much of anything I suspect. Kinda just sitting there, ya know?
“
what is it? He was either driving or he wasn’t.”
There going to want to pin him as the driver. Perhaps he was. If he was not, it will be problematic for the cops.
The info is very spartan.
Either great journalism or police work. /sarc off
Either way, one less criminal willing to take a life.
“Cursed from the start.”
If only his parents had known how to spell.
First mistake.......Bakersfield is NOT considered Souther California, we are in the Central Valley.

...but if caught in risky behavior, stop if the police catch you. Say yes sir. Make no threatening gestures of sudden movements.
And if you think you will be arrested when caught (of even if not sure), remain silent.
That said, always traggic when a young boy dies like this.
oops my mouse had hiccups, sorry
“Either way, one less criminal willing to take a life.”
If he wasn’t driving, he might just as well be a hitchhiker they picked up. You can’t determine that he was a criminal.
Do we have more riots and looting to look forward to?
RIOTS?
Just saved him from a life of crime. White kid, right? ;)

California police fatally shoot 15-year-old suspected of driving, what was suspected as being a stolen vehicle.
“officers shot and killed a 15-year-old suspected of driving a stolen vehicle.”
What JSteff was getting at is that the above sentence should have been written like this.....
“officers shot and killed a 15-year old driving a suspected stolen vehicle.”
The kid was definitely the driver and he backed into the officers’ car as they were approaching the stolen vehicle to engage the folks in it.
Good—none of the taxpayers money will be wasted on this little creep.
“Police said the Acura was stolen during a residential burglary on June 5.”
I wonder if this was a gang initiation ???
He’d likely had a better chance being raised by feral dogs.....
Boy,you've got *that* right. And they'll make sure that it's an OJ jury that hears the case.
