My opinion of Sarah just took a dent. She was on Bill O'Reilly's show and he quizzed her about her opinion, in his overbearing fashion, on how to deal with the illegal alien problem.
I'm afraid it seemed instantly obvious that either she has not spent five minutes looking into the issue and talking to people who actually know something about the problem or she has and is keeping her real plans secret a la Chris Christie.
She did not bring up any specifics or actual ideas and plans and basically let Blowhard Bill lead her around by the nose for seven minutes. They then concluded with some meaningless cheery sentiments about the mama grizzlies and concluded. BOR moved on.
I realize she is busy building up chits playing kingmaker and tweeting and all that but I would like to at least see and hear some evidence that she is doing some serious policy formulation and (if she does run for prez) will have a battle plan on day one.
Appearing on Bill's show for barely enough time to smile and chirp for less than ten minutes is decidedly discouraging to people like myself, who desperately want to take her seriously.

She should not have set herself up like that. Bill barely gave her enough time to recite the Pledge of Allegiance but she could have gotten her message across if she had had a message.

Arizona's SB-1070 has the answer right in the bill:
"The legislature declares that the intent of this act is to make attrition through enforcement the public policy of all state and local government agencies in Arizona."

Absolutely nothing. I was caught up and ready to attack and your post had me at the ready. I do Chivas myself and should never fly off like that. My apologies. I will support Sarah 100%. I also come from that land so cold and harsh. I understand the freedom that dwells within her soul. She is not an Ivy League grad and that scares all of the establishment. She gets my full support.

You’re going to need perminate and roving check points...stopping and searching ALL vehicles...checking everyone’s ID...
You’re going to need to lock down neighborhoods and check everyone coming and going...
You’re going to have to do unannounced house to house searches...
You’re going to need to monitor all forms of communication...
You’re going to need snitches and informants...
You’re going to need camps to hold them until they can be moved in large numbers...and vehicles to do it...
And you’re going to need the military to do it...because they arent all going to go peacefully so you can expect some firefights from the MS -13 types...
This will ofcorse cost billions of dollars...

You need to get something straight. All illegals aliens are criminals just by being in this country hence the term illegal alien! Federal immigration law requires they be deported!

No, we’re talking arresting illegals under the same circumstances as the Arizona law will require. Run background checks on anyone who is suspected of committing a crime other than being in the country illegally, particularly if they fail to produce a valid ID.

As I stated earlier, the ones that aren’t captured will see the handwriting on the wall, become tired of being on the run and constantly living in fear of being captured. They will leave the country voluntarily. They left Oklahoma after that state passed its immigration law and the same is happening in Arizona. Illegals will leave the country voluntarily if federal immigration laws are enforced.

You have just described amnesty. This is total BS. I would give the illegals the total amnesty period of 90 days to leave the U.S. They can do this easily by getting their affairs in order, getting a tank of gas (they all have cars) and then heading home for MEXICO or wherever. Not returning to Mexico during the grace period, they would be deported and the cost of the deportations would be charged to the government of Mexico.
Back in Mexico, they should be allowed to apply for what was once called the “Bracero” program which is a work visa only with a definite expiration date.....renewable of course by the employer.
Get off this $$it of talking about a “green card”. Pompous Bill O’Reilly threw around those words loosely. Green card (such as my wife has) means they are PERMANENT RESIDENTS, and have all the rights that citizens have, except they cannot vote.
By doing this our country would not be slapping those in the face who are still in their own countries, going by the rules and waiting in line so to speak for a chance to come to this country legallyl
