Domino had a sugar plant in Hereford, Texas, that used to supply the large dairy in Burkburnett, Texas, back till 1991. I bet this is where DP procures the sugar.

"Mexican coke"
That's what my wife buys me. Still tastes better than fructose-flavored Coke. Although now I have this strange urge to put on mariachi music.

It does... if you add some Planter's spicy peanuts to the bottle and munch them as they enter your mouth with each sip... Just like on my Granny's porch in the summer.
Ahhh yes. Only we'd used fresh out of the shell peanuts instead.
The simple pleasures are the best!

Now I’m thirsty for some real dublin dr. pepper, and I’m hungry for some grilled meat marinated and slathered in dr. pepper bbq sauce.

Here's an old joke.
Why does Dr. Pepper come in a bottle?

If you ever find yourself in the Waco area and are looking for something to do the Dr. Pepper museum is kinda cool.
The reason to go however is to get one of the sundaes they make with the Dr Pepper syrup!

Pepsi Throwback was so popular the company brought it back for a brief time in the winter.I normally drink Hansen's but I bought a couple twelve packs of this Pepsi to show my appreciation. I'll do the same with the "throwback" Dr. Pepper.
And when they return to HFCS, I'll return to Hansen's.

High Fructose Corn Syrup is manufactured with the use of yeast a type of mold.I'm not sure if what you say is true (it could be - I just don't know), but yeast is most definitely NOT a mold. It is a fungus.

Texans have been able to get Dr.Pepper in 8-ounce bottles with cane sugar in select markets.

Speaking of Waco when I was a kid the "old timers" called a Dr. Pepper a "Waco".
I expect that I'm a lot older now than they were then so it's been a while.

This is the place to buy genuine Dublin Dr Pepper, made with the original Imperial Pure Cane Sugar formula.
Snopes says it's just a myth that Dr. Pepper is made to taste like prunes,
but they don't say what the weird flavor actually is.
