The month of July 2005 was another busy month for President Bush as you can see in the photos.
I have chosen President Bushs Independence Day message from July 1st 2005 as quote of the month
LOVE the photos and the video!!
I also love the fact that President Bush received a standing ovation from the crowd of 38,000 plus:
NOTES: Former President George W. Bush and wife Laura sat in the owner’s box to the left of the Texas dugout with team president Nolan Ryan and prospective owner Chuck Greenberg. Bush received a standing ovation when he was introduced to the crowd in the second inning. Bush attended two games last year but hadn’t been to a game this season.

Awesome! How great they look ... thank you !
Short video of them at the game — he’s a ‘baseball
historian’ .. ;)

Oh, how we miss them!!
Albania also recognizes our beloved president:
Albanian workers tend to a monument of former U.S. President George W. Bush at a foundry near Tirana July 12, 2010. The monument is cast in bronze, measures 2.8 m (9 ft) in height and weighs about 400 kg (880 lb). The final work will be placed in the city of Fushe-Kruje, as Bush visited this city during his stay in Albania on June 10, 2007.

Also, here is a little blurb by the trail steward at one of the Dallas bike trails:
"I think it was shortly after 7 a.m. when Mr. Bush left the trailhead. He rode two 8 mile laps. He is quite good, especially for a 64 year-old-man. I was immediately behind him on the second lap. Even while talking, he made me work to stay with him. I hope I'm in that good of shape at 64!
BTW, Mr. Bush is one of the nicest men you will ever meet. Once I introduced myself, he called me by my name the rest of the morning. Amazing. This guy was a world leader, has met with world leaders, and he is talking to a nobody on a mountain bike like we were friends. It was an awesome experience!
And then he hung around in the parking lot until everyone got a picture. Did I say amazing?"
Our very unpopular president strikes again! :)
Wonderful pictures...it’s so good to see OUR president and
his beautiful first lady enjoying themselves. THEY know how
to have fun together!
Good stuff, Starwise! Thanks for your hard work finding us
articles and video that we haven’t seen before!
I MISS THEM, TOO!!!
WOW . . . thank you for posting the blurb from the trail steward — our President is quite the amazing human being, a fact not lost on the Albanians!!
Howdy, everybody!
I’m glad to see some recent pics of GWB. Obama makes me feel like I’m going to explode sometimes; I need the calming reassurance of my man George.
Great story about meeting GWB on the bike trail.
Glad you enjoyed the pictures and story. I totally understand your angst. I think many of us feel the same way. This is all so unbelievable.
I have another President Bush bike trail story and pic. There’s a Dallas-based bicycle club message board that talked about GWB riding at a local park near his Dallas home yesterday. The comments are fascinating to read...

President Bush with two lucky riders at Rowlett Creek Preserve Park in Garland, TX yesterday.
Awesome. Thanks for posting
THANK YOU for the photo and the blog link — President Bush is such an inspiration . . . He’s 64 years old and still riding circles around guys half his age!
Thank you SO MUCH for your great posts!
I think this was before your time on this thread--but when we started finding these reports of his bike rides in Dallas we all joked about moving to Dallas and taking up mountain biking! :)
pattyvita, thank you, once again, for sharing the pics of our wonderful President. And, hello to all of the other special people here who love and appreciate our dear W.
My husband is a bicyclist....but on road bike not mountain bike.....but, maybe I can convince him to vacation in Dallas and he can take along his bike ....lol!
George W. Bush to do first post-presidential interview in November
09:45 AM
And the prize for the first post-presidential interview of George W. Bush goes to .... Matt Lauer of NBC.
The interview will air as a prime time special on Nov. 8 -- six days after the congressional elections and the day before the release of Bush's presidential memoir, Decision Points.
Bush will also appear on Lauer's regular gig, the Today show, on Nov. 10, NBC just announced.
"President Bush will talk to Lauer about the details of his upcoming book, Decision Points, to be released by Crown Publishers on November 9, and he will discuss the defining decisions he has made in his personal and political life," said an NBC release.
The timing of the Bush book, Nov. 9, is interesting in light of the fact that Obama and Democratic candidates will continue to bash Bush's record during election season. It will be interesting to see if any tidbits from the Bush book leak out before the Nov. 2 election, and whether they become political issues.

Oh patty - you continue to provide and make our hearts happy! Thanks for posting this latest gem.
I see this as going VERY well in W's favor! Let's all picture W's dramatic success in our mind's eye. W deserves the collective energy of all our optimism and faith.
The non-leftists among us are finally waking up:
48% BLAME OBAMA FOR BAD ECONOMY, 47% BLAME BUSH
Monday, August 02, 2010
For the first time since President Obama took office, voters see his policies as equally to blame with those of President George W. Bush for the countrys current economic problems.
. . . In June and last October, 45% blamed Obamas policies for the countrys ongoing economic woes, the previous high finding on this question. The number who blame Bush is down from 62% in May 2009 when Rasmussen Reports first began tracking the question regularly. Only 27% faulted Obama at that time.
KEY STATS:
Fifty-five percent (55%) of men blame Obamas policies for the current economic problems, while 52% of women think Bush is the cause.
Among voters not affiliated with either major party, Obama is now chiefly to blame by a 52% to 44% margin.
