Eventually every advocacy group becomes corrupted. The Sierra Club started out with noble aims as did MADD. Now they are just power hungry money grubbers. The same thing has happened to the NRA. The executives of any “non-profit” entity will eventually find that being a player in big government is far more lucrative than asking people for money.

The NRA is about to become the SMALLEST oldest civil rights organization in America. People will quit by the 100’s of thousands.

I am a lifetime NRA member, but I don't give them money any more.
I give to Gun Owners of America.

David Keene (of American Conservative Union and CPAC) is First Vice President on the NRA. But, anyone who follows Keene realizes he would sell his mother’s soul to the devil and not lose a moment of sleep.

And there lies the problem in this country. Everyone is for sale.I expect that in about 5 to 10 years, the NRA will become the nations leader in the cause of severely restricting public access to guns.
Sarah Brady will be the Chairperson.

I'm afraid internal rot started a long time ago. It began with the attack and banishment of the strongest supporter the 2nd amendment ever had - Neal Knox. Sadly, everything he predicted would happen to the NRA is happening.

If people have contacts with the NRA, they need to know that I have written an expose on harry reid that includes his taking bribes from Mustang Ranch pimp Joe Conforte. I have other interviews going on that are just as explosive. Click on my name for more details, I am in a rush.

Everyone calm down. They haven’t made this endorsement. Someone just said they heard they might.

You know,I tend to agree with you...in fact, it would be much better if support for many important issues(abortion, gun rights, etc.)was taken out of such colossal organizations as the NRA and put into numerous smaller associations, for example, individual PACs,state GOAs,etc., and each state just manage lobbying not at the national level but within each state...more locally...scale it down to a point that it’s more easily scrutinized, managed and there’s a sense of checks and balances....sometimes bigger isn’t necessarily better.

I suspect that the NRA has written off Angle as a lost cause and is trying to curry favor with Reid to hedge its bets. They don't HAVE to endorse anyone!

For the same reason All Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would never want “discrimination” to go away.

The NRA HAS BEEN INFILTRATED!
No, it really hasn't, it's just reflective of what is happening in the rest of America, the same with the Republicans, they haven't been infiltrated, they changed with the rest of society. Face it, it's gone man, gone.
