I can't tell from that clip if Donny Deutsch is an is an idiot or if he is (quite likely correctly) saying that there are a lot of idiots out there who have forgotten 9/11. A third possibility is that we've largely chased Al Qaeda out of Afghanistan into Pakistan and Yemen, therefore the Afghan campaign has become secondary and only against the thugs in the Taliban.

Deutsch doesn’t suggest people have forgotten. To the contrary, he states “people weren’t” clear why we were there in the first place. In other words, they were never clear.

That Willie Geist, who doesn’t go out of his way to show up guests, thought it necessary to remind Deutsch of 9-11 clearly indicates that Geist felt Deutsch had forgotten his history.

Here is something I have encountered twice now with young liberals: they equate remembering 8-11 with propaganda. The second time I ran into it occurred during the discussion of a WWII novel. It accurately quoted the original saying:

Loose lips might sink ships.

The liberal marveled at that, saying, since when is propaganda equivocal? Her example was, ‘Almost always remember 9-11.’

As if a security slogan and remembering our own dead amount to propaganda. Things are far worse in our public schools than we have yet fathomed. Add to that the MSM, and we have a couple generations of ignoramuses.
