Obama can do whatever he wants, including destroying the SE USA, no one is going to do a damned thing about it, especially not the GOP.
This is a false premise.
Obama believes that allowing the crisis to reach biblical proportions will allow him to implement more draconian totalitarian measures.
He may be correct.
This worse than Katrina, economically speaking, and worse than any other man-made disaster I can think of. The Gulf of Mexico will take centuries to recover from this mess. If they don’t stop it soon, it may never recover in a millennium..................

Yeah, like in FEBRUARY, when they first got wind that a spill was in the offing... Leaving aside the bureaucratic incompetence at MMS, which Obama allegedly knew of very early in his administration, the incompetence in this case extends far longer than just 2 months.

Who talks a big fancy (sustainable sustainable sustainable) eco-game about global warming but is an EPIC FAIL on simple common sense preventative measures in the Gulf such as bringing in the best skimmers and building Bobby Jindal’s sand berms
