2 more bands skip Arizona over SB1070
Arizona Daily Star ^

The chorus of artists against Arizona continues to widen because of the state's upcoming immigration law.

The Sound Strike announced on its Web site that Nine Inch Nails and Maroon 5 are the latest acts to skip Arizona in response to the passage of SB 1070.

The Sound Strike says a boycott is the most effective form of noncompliance with a law that threatens the civil and human rights of everyday people living within the state.

The group says it has become clear that to perform in Arizona, with this divisive and unjust law on the books, is no longer a neutral act.

The law states that an officer engaged in a lawful stop, detention or arrest shall, when practicable, ask about a person's legal status when reasonable suspicion exists that the person is in the U.S. illegally.

California essentially has the same content as Arizona’s 1070 in its penal code. Can the bands listed boycott us......Please?

If they don't, then think of the fun you can have labeling them as disingenuous ba*****s.

Kewel, where's my Brad Pitt autographed ball bat? Disingenuous indeed.

The only people upset by Nine Inch Nails doing the boycott are the the 22-28 year old age bracket.

Beyond that, I truly can’t imagine many people caring very much.
