The Senate Judiciary Committee is taking up the nomination of Elena Kagan to be Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Judiciary Committee members and Elena Kagan are making opening statements and will move to the question and answer session beginning Tuesday. She will be introduced by Massachusetts Senators John Kerry (D-MA) and Scott Brown (R-MA).
The committee plans four days of hearings with the questioning of the nominee Tuesday and Wednesday and outside witnesses on Thursday. If confirmed, Elena Kagan will replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens on the Court.
All Franken has done is complain about Robert’s court.
Can someone tell me what qualifies Franken to sit on this committee?

“Did you know I was a decorated Vietnam veteran?”
You all should know that we just were told that Senator Kerry is a decorated Vietnam War veteran!

Franken in his twisted logic , said that the seat belt law for passenger vehicles would not have passed today as it did in the 1960s, if the capitalistic pig auto industries could have lobbied against it with advertisement...alluding to television advertisement. Franken doesn't like free speech.

Fascinating ... he didn't seem to mind TV advertising so much when it kept a roof over his head, food in his stomach.
