The Senate Judiciary Committee is taking up the nomination of Elena Kagan to be Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Judiciary Committee members and Elena Kagan are making opening statements and will move to the question and answer session beginning Tuesday. She will be introduced by Massachusetts Senators John Kerry (D-MA) and Scott Brown (R-MA).
The committee plans four days of hearings with the questioning of the nominee Tuesday and Wednesday and outside witnesses on Thursday. If confirmed, Elena Kagan will replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens on the Court.

Lindsey Graham opening statements were like kisses to Kagan and Senator Jeff Sessions statements about Kagan showed her as she really is a totalitarian.

Lindsay made me want to puke.
This woman, based on her deeds and writings, is a communist.

It’s probably a kangaroo court (no pun intended) but it will be revealing to see how Brown has sold out.

She sent financial contributions to groups aligned with pro-abortion agendas.
She criticized regulations keeping American tax dollars from paying for pro-abortion programs.
She tried to silence critics of activist judges, actually calling the critics irresponsible!
She recommended President Clinton support a phony ban on partial birth abortion, in spite of her belief it would be unconstitutional.
She argued that federal funding for pregnancy-related programs should be completely off limits to religious groups.
She expressed a belief that making physician-assisted suicide a federal crime would be a fairly terrible idea.
She supported cloning of human embryos for research.

I would like to hear one Republican ask the question: “Do you believe in the rule of law, or the rule of man?”

Senator Cornyn is speaking of the traditional Constitution as in the meaning and intent when it was written vs. a living breathing Constitution and where activists judges change its meaning year after year.
Kagan is dressed in apologetic blue.

Senator Coburn trying to butter Kagan up as they both believe in these hearings in that the American people should get to know their Supreme Court nominees. They outa know Elana Kagan. "The American people can find out what a Supreme Court nominee is all about."

And who on earth did her makeup?
That's an insensitive question and its not politically correct. Incidentally, the correct answer to your question is; its got as much spackle trowled on it as it could manage.

That's an insensitive question and its not politically correct. Haha! Good thing I didn't say what I was really thinking - like how all that makeup makes her look like she's in drag or something...

Senator Session speaking now in the break. He liked Senator Coburns take on things that she should be completely honest. Session didn’t like the distortions of the ‘Citizens United’ case characterized by Durbin.
To: Red Steel
Okay, so now I understand Cardin’s definition of an “activist judge.” One who considers the intent of the founders without considering the intent of the latest congress.

Elena Kagan isn’t qualified to clerk for Harriet Miers. She is proof that Obamao hates America.

Al Franken says that the Robert's court is an "activist court". And that the Robert's court is against the rights of Americans.
Franken is a village idiot.
