I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.
Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944
(Newsbusters)- When Republican Sen. Strom Thurmond died, the MSM was quick to stress his segregationist past. The New York Times ran the headline Strom Thurmond, Foe of Integration, Dies at 100, leaving readers to imagine the South Carolinian had remained an advocate of segregation. The very first line of USA Todays story described Thurmond as the nations most prominent segregationist.
Strange how the MSM can suddenly become reticent about mentioning someones segregationist past when the late politician in question is a Democrat. On Morning Joe today, Mark Halperin and Mike Barnicle used elliptical language worthy of a State Department dispatch to avoid mentioning that Byrd had been a member and leader of the Ku Klux Klan.
In the opening paragraph of this blog item, the NY Times headline on the death of Strom Thurmond was noted: Strom Thurmond, Foe of Integration, Dies at 100.
The Grey Ladys headline today? Robert Byrd, Respected Voice of the Senate, Dies at 92
I disagree about the American part, and he's far more white and Arab than African.
Yes, but since the pic isn't legit, folks who don't follow these things too closely (most people) might dismiss the whole thing as a fake. Again, we don't need to distort anything. The truth is bad enough.
I guess now we'll wind up with dirt roads.
I feel like I live in the Philipines.
They stole your money, quite literally at gunpoint, and then appeased people by giving a little of it back to pave roads. And I'm sure they had the nerve to puff up and pretended to be magnanimous about it.
Besides not mentioning Byrd’s past, the MSM does the same in regards to the democrat party who formed the KKK and its political underpinnings in the progressive movement.
Progressive icons Woodrow Wilson and FDR were both very fond of the KKK. Progressive movement cornerstone policies like ‘seperation of church and state’, unionization, and abortion had all begun with highly racist intentions and the progressive movement still holds dearly to these policies today.
Ding Ding Ding!
Excellent post.
Woodrow Wilson and FDR were the absolute worst!
Fox Radio news at the top of the hour, this morning, mentioned it. That fully awakened me!!
When it's one of their boys who was a member - they're veeeery quiet... eff 'em. Eff the MSM.
Uh, no. By definition, if something is fake, it’s inaccurate. Thanks for trying to lower us to their level, though.
Right. The elites have never let go of the feudal system.
With the "New World Order" it will go global.
It will have the veneer of representative government,
which will allow the small people to believe they control their own destiny.
They will pull it off for a few years, but ultimately it will fail miserably.
Thank God.
