A Portland massage therapist gave local police a detailed statement last year alleging that former Vice President Al Gore groped her, kissed her and made unwanted sexual advances during a late-night massage session in October 2006 in a suite at the upscale Hotel Lucia.
The woman told investigators that she informed two friends and kept the clothes she wore that night, including her black pants with stains on them. But Portland police didn't contact any of the woman's friends, obtain the potential evidence or interview anyone at the hotel, records show.
"The case was not investigated any further because detectives concluded there was insufficient evidence to support the allegations," the Portland Police Bureau said in a prepared statement Wednesday, responding to inquiries from all over the world after the National Enquirer broke the story on its website.
In her detailed Jan. 8, 2009, statement to a Portland sexual assault investigator, the woman said she was called to the hotel about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 24, 2006, to provide a massage for Gore, who was registered under the name "Mr. Stone." Once inside his ninth-floor suite, she said he pushed her hand to his groin, fondled her buttocks and breasts, tongue-kissed her and threw her down on the bed as she tried to thwart his advances.
She also said Gore had finished a beer and opened a bottle of Grand Marnier while she was in the room.

Snot... he cried in her lap as she stroked his head and tried to calm his sobbing.

This is certainly what I thought—that the woman is a hooker, and that maybe she saw a way to part poor old albore from some of his money. She thought it would be easy, but she was not smart enough to figure out how to go about it.
When someone is crying rape, they need to act immediately—not wait a couple of years and then expect the police to get all bothered. If she had been an 18 year old girl, it might have been a different scenario-—but a woman in her 50’s should have a bit more sense. In fact, a mature woman going to a man’s hotel room after 10 PM to give him a massage is probably getting what she asked for.
LOL! Probably!
She went to the cops, was told she had no case. Assuming the charges are true thats pretty devastating for her. I can see her keeping quiet after that.
I’m sure as well she has always had to deal with people hearing her profession and thinking the worse.
Gore’s always been a little knotty. Probably very knotty when pining for a massage.
Good thing for him she wasn’t a part time landscaper with a handy can of “stump remover.”
I wonder if Gore carries a pair of fir handcuffs in his luggage or gets spruced up for such special occasions?
If this story is for real other victims may come out of the woodwork.
Maybe the masseuse’s evidence consists of carpenter ants in her pants.
Minwax, pitch or maple syrup?
There is nothing to add...
And yet, just looking at him, you know it's true...
Al Gore : “Me so thorny!”
Liberals.
Indeed. In a way, this is the most profoundly disturbing item in the article.
From what I read the lady did in fact report the incident at the time to the cops.
The cops didn’t believe her and she kept his semen stains.
I agree. Tipper didn’t leave after 40 years for some small reason. I would bet he crossed a line she just could not tolerate.
Why, Al...
Knock me over with a feather big guy!
I think I’m going to hurl.
You may be right, however, regardless what many may think about the Enquirer, the mag has been spot on with many celebrity stories as of late (i.e., John “Who’s My Baby’s Daddy” Edwards).
