Hmmm... Very interesting. Of course, the guy is so useless he couldn't balance the budget of a lemonade stand...

"One useless marxist out, another useless marxist in." Presumably not the first choice marxist, so that's somewhat of a plus I guess (as much as it could be in this situation anyway.

Not a surprise either. If the Democrats get their collective asses handed to them in November, it would virtually mandate a thorough housecleaning by the Regime.
The question is, who do they replace him with?? Christina Romer, perhaps...??

Yep, it’s gonna be like a revolving door in the administration. Sadly, one America hater will leave, then another will fill the vacuum.

I’m sure the new guy will be a “deficit hawk”...

Actually, this guy was the closest thing to a budget hawk this administration had...
http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/101947-orszag-asks-agencies-to-trim
"Rep. Paul Ryan (Wis.), the top House Budget Committee Republican, said hes hopeful federal agencies will heed Orszags call to cut spending but added that the proposed reforms didnt go far enough."
Sadly, his departure, right after calling for spending cuts, probably means the administration has decided to go with Krugman's Keynesianism & spend even more.

Rahm Emanuel and Peter Orszag are both leaving and, regardless of our opinion of these men's characters and levels of personal attractiveness, they are precisely the kind of people whom the media claimed were proof of the effectiveness and savvy of the Obama administration.
The fact that two individuals who were considered to be particularly strong members of the President's team are effectively leaving before his term is half over is a serious vote of no confidence.
If Harry Reid loses the election and Hilary Clinton "retires", the Obama experiment is over except for the shouting.

A new excuse for the fact that they will not even begin to discuss a budget this year. What deficit?

The rats begin to jump ship...Just the beginning. Sounds like Rahm is going too. Look for many more defections between now and mid-August. When the going get tough, the weenies run away. They can only deal with a crisis of their own creation. One with intended effect and scripted solution e.g. Hegelian dialectic. The real world doesn't work that way. The oil gusher won't be intimidated into submission.

He’s leaving because it’s silly to be a budget director when Congress isn’t going to pass a budget this year.

Perhaps he's also being set up as the fall guy for the bad Healthscare budget numbers, the ones that keep getting to be shown too low each day?

Like rats jumping ship? No, more like a turd being flushed down the crapper. Unfortunately, the Obama regime has more turds than we have toilet paper, until November 2010.
Then the “BIG FLUSH” really begins.
